Hi Ladies!!!
I have the following items for sale. Sage and Fuschia organza overlays. They are 90 x 90 and really are a beautiful touch to any wedding. They were probably my favorite addition to my reception. I have 15 and I am asking $150 for all 15 which is a steal compared to what I paid for them. I am willing to negotiate Toating flutes - never been used. They are Vera Wang With Love Silverplate toasting flutes. The box is not in the best condition as they were given to me by a family member but they were not what I was looking to use. hi ladies....trying to get rid of some stuff that i no longer need. i have 15 organza table overlays - they are 90 inch round - sage green with fuschia swirls. when put on a white table cloth the green in subtle but looks very nice. my colors were pink and green so this worked out perfectly. i am asking 200 (obo) plus shipping for the overlays. i also have 2 boxes of flower petals. one pink and one white. there are not quite 300 in each box.....we gathered most of the petals after the ceremony though. asking 8 per box or if you want both boxes 12 together plus shipping. i also have a roll of white tulle and a wedding planner book. if you are interested please email me:

I was browsing the wedding items on esty.com the other night and could not believe all the unique stuff that is on there. I know a lot of you ladies have ordered or found inspiration on the site so I decided to check it out. One of my favorite finds are these glasses for both the wedding party and also glasses for us. I think these would make a great gift for my girls!! I am going to attempt to make my own version of these.......so I will let ya's know how that goes. haha I have said for months that I want to try painting my own wine glasses. Since I have a long weekend I might as well give it a try :)

Wedding Dress
Ordered my dress.....yayyy!!
I bought my dress!!! I don't know about you girls but now it is real for me!! It has really hit me that in a little over a year I will be a married woman...ahhh :) I bought this dress at DB after spending hours trying to decide between 2 dresses. My first trip to DB was not a good one so I was reluctant to even attempt another one. The lady I had helping me (well supposed to be helping me) did nothing for me. I had picked out a few dresses that I liked and she never brought them to me. She was bringing dresses that I would never think of wearing. My mom had to help me in and out of all my dresses.....I thought they were gonna have at it by the end of the day. But luckily my 2nd trip was far more better than the first. The lady helping me, Dee, was amazing and she even got emotional with some of the dresses. This dress I had actually picked out of a magazine and loved it on as much as I did looking at it. So it is THE dress. I ordered it and it should be here soon. I find myself looking at the pictures all day long......soo excited!!

Be My Flower Girl??
Soo.....I realize that it has once again been 3 months since I have posted anything about my wedding. I really have not done too much planning wise....just been looking into different vendors and trying to get ideas.
I will give y'all a little background about my flower girls - I started working for the family for about a year and a half now and I love these 2 girls as if they were my own. They are twins (that look nothing alike) and they just turned 5. Its so funny because the one little girl always talks about being a flower girl. Up until recently we were not sure if we were going to have kids be a part of the ceremony at all, but I decided I wanted them to be a part of my day. This past weekend I made cookie baskets and attached a poem asking them to be my flower girl. Because I am such a perfectionist it took me hours from start to finish but I think it turned out great!! They were so excited today when I gave it to them and asked them to be my flower girls!! That was all they talked about all day :) The poem I used was: In just a little while John and I will be walking down the aisle Would you say yes and lead the way Be our flower girl On our special day! |

AHHH!!!!
Never thought this would be me....
Soo today I had my first official wedding "tantrum." I have been so excited about the reception place we visited this past week, I thought nothing could go wrong. Well I guess the stress of my school work that is due and my parents' not understanding (in my opinion anyway) finally got to me today. I have been in contact with Lucien's Manor since we met and they have been nothing but helpful in all the questions that I have had. My mom wants me to wait and look at other places. But of course, me with my heart set, I have put my foot down. I have gotten them to lower the price per person once again......what we are getting there doesn't compare to anywhere else I have looked for what we would be paying. After talking to my mom today she was still set in her ways and I just lost it. I was an emotional wreck!! I never thought I would be like this about my wedding!! I am a happy go lucky type of person. My FI said I had a bridezilla moment and that made it even worse haha. So after I calmed myself down, I talked to my mom again and we made a compromise. She didn't want to put the full deposit down right before the holidays because as I'm sure all of you know, everyone is tight on money these days. So we are able to put half down now and the rest down by Jan 15. I feel stupid for letting it all get to me like it did.....but oh well I guess I can always blame it on the hormones!

Wedding Reception
Think I Found THE Place
Once again I find myself wayy behind on my blogging!! But this semester is almost done and I am really starting to be all about wedding planning. It seems so far away still but I know it will be here before I know it. I just went this past Thursday and looked at a reception venue and fell in love. From the minute we pulled up I knew it was the place I wanted my reception to be. It's funny because they always say when you try on the right dress you will know, but I found this to be true with Lucien's Manor. I saw their website and everthing seemed perfect - the setting, atmosphere, menu - but there were no prices online. I thought that they would be expensive but wanted to make an appointment anyway. Much to my surprise, they were pretty reasonable. We were even able to negotiate the price and it was brought down. The only thing is I would have to change my wedding date. The price of a Friday or Sunday wedding was soo much less than a Saturday wedding. So I have e-mailed them with a few additional questions about pricing and such, so hopefully within the next few days I an say that my reception venue is booked!!
