The BEST place in Seattle to buy a wedding dress
Okay, so this place is more or less in Bellevue, WA rather than Seattle, WA but Voletta Couture is still the absolute BEST place to buy a wedding dress if you are in the area.

After my nightmare experience in buying my first wedding dress I was hesistant to buy a wedding dress and just living with the stain clad dress I originally bought (and supposedly bought with the stains and all).

Anyways with only 9 weeks until the wedding I had walked into Voletta Couture knowing that I would have to buy a sample gown. I found an amazing Reem Acra ball gown and given my nightmare first dress story the store waived the rush fees and the special size fees as well. Who knew that anything under a size 4 had a special size fee...oh well.

The dress came in last week and even their seamstress did not charge me a rush fee given that she only had a weekend to make the dress fit. Maybe it is luck considering that nothing had to be altered but I am so greatful for everyone that made my dress come in on time and looking fabulous!!!!!!!

I swear though, after I even paid for the dress the service was great unlike a majority of the places where you hear about the service going down the shitter once you give the store your money.

I am just in awe by how considerate and understanding each staff member was and I would recommend that everyone should get their dress from Voletta Couture.

I feel like I am putting on a commercial for them but I honestly can not express how thankful I am and how pleased I was with the service!!!!!

Romona Keveza Dress for Sale
So my first dress I had purchased was "the one" until the boutique I purchased it from decided to be a bunch of DB's and treat me like crap to the point that every time I even thought of the dress I just got blinded by fury. Dramatic, but it seriously makes me upset and our wedding planner was not even surprised since she said that most boutique's throw the customer service out the window once you purchase your gown.

Anyways, the dress for sale is a size 10 Romona Keveza gown that has a sweetheart neckline and a band of swarovski crystals right underneath the bust. The skirt is A-line and it has some bustling and a chapel length train.

The dress still has the tags on it since I only wore the dress for my first fitting. I love the dress but after much deliberation with my parents and the fiancee, we decided it would be better if I parted from the dress.

If anyone is interested please let me know because I obviously don't need two dresses. These pictures came from brides.com (fyi),

Ask a Question
Lounge Area Anyone?
I just wanted to know how many people are having a lounge area at their reception? I feel like it is a common thing nowadays and since we have some extra rooms at our reception venue I was thinking maybe one for kids only, one for a photobooth, and another room just for loungin'. Then again, maybe another lounge area by the dance floor. Who knows though...the last two pics are of the place we are having our rehearsal dinner...and yes, that is a bowling alley.

Aqua and Red
So my colors are aqua/tiffany blue/turquoise and red/burgundy/crimson. Everyone has a different name for those two colors so I decided to try and label the major ones. I really wish I had explored a little bit more before deciding on the red because coral looks really good with the aqua as well (like really good).

Here is my compliation of boards I have come across from other brides' posts.

Wedding Invitation
Postage
Could the timing be any worst? So postage is set to be increased in May (the 11th to be exact...i think?). Anyways, we were planning on mailing out our invites slightly after that date since our wedding is in July. I know we can just buy the forever stamps, which we were going to do anyways, but that is the reason for my blog. If anyone else will be encountering this (all you other July weddings) I really would suggest buying your stamps from costco. Gosh, it sounds like I am a promoter for Costco but last time we were there it dawned on me that they do sell a stamp package: 100 forever stamps for $40. You do the math and it comes out cheaper. We are buying ours tomorrow while it is still fresh in my mind because knowing my memory...we will be buying 2 stamp packages from Costco at the end of May for $45 each. :-p

Honeymoon
FIJI!!!!!!
I was extremely excited when we found all-inclusive resorts in the south Pacific. I wanted to go in that area because the resorts in the Carribean and/or the Bahamas are huge which to me seemed less intimate.

So we are going to stay at the Lomani resort which is on its own island. I am looking forward to it because there are 12 rooms total at the resort so I am hoping it will be very intimate and romantic.

We booked our honeymoon through journey pacific which I found off of the Fiji Visitors Bureau (www.bulafiji.com). You can also check out Costco's website for deals as well.

Save The Dates
I always loved the save the date magnets because they constantly remind your guests to keep your wedding date open. That is only if they don't lose the magnet. We used magnetstreet.com to help make our magnets since they had a ton of designs and I don't have a lot of time to design my own. They do have the option to design your own magnet from scratch as well.

I am really happy with the way our save the dates turned out (that's the picture of the proof). If you sign up for emails from magnetstreet.com you will occasionally receive a 20% coupon (or 10-15% at min). And with our current economy, anything helps.

On a sidenote, a wedding website is always a good idea since your guests can always check on your wedding day details just in case they lose their invites. Trust me, I am guilty of that.

Shoes!!
Reception Shoes? Ceremony shoes?
These are the shoes I have chosen to go with my gown. They are Stuart Weitzmans and they have swarovski crystals and they are similar to the band of swarovski crystals on my dress.

I did however find another pair that I would consider either using for the ceremony of reception. They are manolos with rhinestones (bottom picture), so I cant justify spending that much for rhinestones. Granted they are Manolos, but I would rather have the swarovski crystals than rhinestones.

Wedding Hair Style
I would like to keep my hair style pretty simple, large loose waves. I am not a big fan of updo's since it reminds me of high school dances...I think I met my quota of updos then.

I saw this model's hair on Nordstrom's website and fell in love with it. I am hoping it will look nice with a veil on!
