I have searched and searched for months for the perfect tutorial on how to make a silk bouquet. I found a few decent examples but no one really showed how to arrange the flowers! I finally just sat down and started adding flowers and came up with this! I LOVE it! It's amzing how real it looks. I used a combination of anemones from afloral.com, carnations and roses from various dollar stores and a green bunch that I found at Hobby Lobby for 50% off. I think it had some ranunculus, roses and hydrangeas in it.
To make the bouquet, I started with the green bunch and started adding the other flowers around it, shaping it as I went. I removed all of the extra green leaves from the flowers to give it a more clean look. As I was adding flowers, I would wrap the base with green floral tape every so often to hold it together. Once I had the full bouquet, I gave it one final wrap with the floral tape, leaving about an inch at the bottom, and wrapped the base with a navy blue satin ribbon. The brooch was my grandmother's who passed away in 2004. She left me all of her jewelry and I thought it was a nice way to remember her at our wedding.
Hope you like :)
