Honeymoon
Destination: honeymoon.

So the last weekend my FH and I went to a wedding expo "Expo Tu Boda" in Mx City. We were very excited and happy to be there and we were very interested in honeymoon offers.

We found out three possible places, the Bahamas, and we'll be arriving to the Sandals Resort, second a cruise on the Oasis of the Seas in the Caribbean, and third a trip to Europe. What would you choose?

Have you stayed at Sandals? What was your experience? :)

We went to Sandals Montego Bay for our honeymoon and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I have a brief post with some photos. However, as a travel agent, I’d say the decision really depends on what type of experience you want to have on your honeymoon.

We wanted to relax, unwind, enjoy each other and spend the week making our own schedule as we went along. So that’s why we leaned toward Sandals. Plus in Jamaica there’s 3 resorts you can play at, just sleep in your own bed. Not to mention, that is really is the most romantic choice. No kids, only couples, lush landscaping gives the illusion that you are alone. Quiet - mostly.

But I’ve also been on the Oasis of the Seas and that ship is truly a City at Sea. It still amazes me to think about everything you can do there. Not to mention that both itineraries take you some pretty fantastic ports. The only drawback here is that you will be taking your honeymoon with 5,000 of your new best friends, lots of kids included. There is a solarium for people 16 and up and private pool. So if you enjoy people and lots of fun, scheduled activities (like all cruises have) this may be an option. Also, cruises aren’t 100% all-inclusive.
Europe is completely different from the first 2. Depending on the time of year and where you go, dictates the experiences you might have. If you’ve traveled abroad before then you’ll be more familiar with the process of visas and what kind of experience you’d like. If not, you might want to look into a tour that is geared toward romance to ensure that your honeymoon isn’t just a vacation full of museums, cafes and country sides.

Hope this helps :)
