Wedding Reception
Reception Hall?
I found a reception hall that I really love! The inside is gorgeous and the outside garden is even better! I want to book it but there is one problem.. My uncle passed away tragically last year in a car accident and my family is having a hard time with it, especially my aunt I mean why wouldn't she. Anyways, I come to find out that the reception hall that I love is the same as my aunt and uncle had theirs. My aunt then informed me that if I had it there she would not be attending. I don't know what to do! I really want my aunt there but I love this place and it is the perfect location. Right in the middle of my house and my fiancee's. Very convenient. I understand where she is coming from but shouldn't she want to be there and remember the happy memories of her and my uncle. I know my uncle wouldn't want her to not go. I really don't know what to do. Any pointers?

Too school for cool?
Serious question...
I am currently in school and I don't know if I should go next semester because I will be planing a bunch with the wedding since it is in May. This semester has been super stressful and I don't know if I want to deal with that stress with school, working 2 jobs, and planning a wedding. If I did go I would probably only go part time but I don't know if I should even do that. My friends all say if I don't go next semester, I'll never go back but I am a very determined girl and if I want to go back, I will. The great thing is, is that Brian is done with school. He currently just finished flight school and just needs to build hours. So we have that going for us. He says that he just wants whatever I want and will support me with whatever decision I choose. I love him! :) Guess I have a decision to make here soon. |

I found these and thought that they were gorgeous but I would like some yellow in there somewhere to tie everything all together. I have never seen brown flowers like these but I think they are perfect!

Okay so I was thinking that since Brian is going to be in an all brown tux but I still want the dad's to wear a brown suit but match, that they would have yellow vests. Or should this be vice versa or an ivory vest or tan, I don't know. Pointers anyone?

Since my colors are yellow and chocolate I want Brian to wear a chocolate tux for our wedding. He agrees that it will look great with the dress I want and I am so excited to see how great he looks in it!

Love this one!
I have been looking online for the perfect dress and I think I have found it! I have been to a couple of bridal stores to try on a lot of different styles of dress but I keep going back to this one. It is totally me and my style. I went to the bridal shop that has it and they didn't have one for me to try on so they ordered one just for me to try on and I go back in 2 weeks. I hope it looks as great on me as it does online!

First thing
The first thing I did, kind of weird, was get the wedding cake. Brian's aunt is a baker and she was very kind to offer to make our cake. I had been looking online for ideas and since our colors are yellow and chocolate, I found the perfect one. Simple but elegant.

The Proposal
How he did it...
Well, Brian and I have been engaged for 2 months already, time flies!
We have been dating a year and decided to tie the knot. So one night I get off work, ready to come home and relax all night when he comes over and want to go to dinner. This was weird for him because it was a Wednesday night. So I get ready and we head off. I kind of joke about it on the ride to the restaurant and say, "You're not going to do it there are you?", Having no idea that he was going to ask me tonight. So we get to the restaurant, eat, and nothing happens. As we are walking out I start walking toward the car and he tells me to come walk over this freeway over pass with him. This being October, it was pretty chilly outside with me in leggings. So I say no lol but he eventually gets me over there. We get in the middle of this overpass, in the middle of the freeway and he knees down. White Christmas lights light up the whole thing with rose petals and roses everywhere. He pops the question and of course I say yes, we start hugging and I look to the right of me and all of his family and my family were standing right there, watching the whole thing! It was really cool because they got it all on film and tons of pictures. |
