Our Wedding Date!!
Change of plans!
Soooo My FH and I went out for lunch today, Our work rosters suck and it means we only see eachother once a week if that. And it's usually for either dinner or lunch. So we never get real time together.
Today we were discussing our wedding and all the drama thats going on (i'll get into that another day) and we were talking about eloping, as great as it sounds it isn't a good idea for us. SOOOOOOOOOO We bumped up our wedding by 4 months! And our new day is the 16th of July 2011!!!! Amazingly all our vendors are completely fine with it, it's perfect :D :D |

Valentines Day :D
Our valentines day.
Andrew and I are both managers for the same company which means we get different hours to each other every week so we rarely get to see each other :( We had our valentines day a day early.
We had a "double date" with my room mate and her boyfriend at our house. Mini (my roommate) And I made a roast and decorated the house. We had cut every heart and punched holes in the top and strung them across the house :D It looked awesome :D Then the boys took us to a gelato bar in the city. Mmmm Kindersurprise ice cream :D |

Just wondering what you all think about ribbon backdrops? I am wanting a backdrop for the bridal party but not keen on the traditional tulle and fairy lights and the price tag that goes with it. |

Wedding Dress
First visit to the seamstress!! and CAKE!
So Today was my first visit to our seamstress. I went with my mum, put on my dress and she pinned it all up. It looks SOOOO AMAZING!!
I cried when She was done and put my veil on. AHH I cannot wait until it's all done :D The lady was sooo lovely, bit eccentric but still an amazing seamstress (She even convinced my mum to let me get padding in my top yeow!!) Anyways so my next appointment is the 23rd of March :D I cannot wait! This arvo we are going to do taste testing for our cake :D We have decided on a 3 tier square cake with details to match my dress and our cake topper (see picture attached). But we won't get to see the finished product until our wedding day :D (Saves 15%!!) Also today we bought our toasting glasses :D Has bride and groom written on them with two hearts (our theme) and came with a matching photo frame :D It was $80 but they gave it to us for $60 because it didn't have all the packaging :D BARGAIN! |

DJ vs Ipod
Hi Guys,
So i've been on graveyard shifts the past few nights at work so haven't really been able to do much in the way of "planning". But I did get a chance to think about music... alot! My question to all of you is. 1. Did you have a DJ or other form of music for your reception 2. Pros/Cons FH wants an incredibly expensive DJ to play songs that I have on my Ipod? It seems silly to me when we could just play that for free? The hall we have hired has all the equipment to plug an Ipod/Iphone/MP3 player in and it plays throughout the hall. |

Wedding Decoration
Name cutouts.
Today we got an awesome delivery from the postoffice :D
My mum ordered our names as wooden cutouts. They are huge (that's a large chest of drawers behind them) and it's free standing. It's beautiful. We are going to paint them, Not sure what colour yet :D |

-How long did you date before you got engaged? 3 Months, When you know, you know :D -Did you get the ring you wanted? Sure did, We were engaged before we got rings :P -Was the proposal a complete surprise? I asked him and I was still surprised. He'd been away in another country diving and I missed him so much that I decided to buy him an engagement ring and propose when he got home. I talked to both our parents and every one was happy so I jumped in. Andrew was super shocked but a bit cut that he never got to ask the question so he's been making it up to me by asking me to marry him every day since :P -Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small? I wouldn't change my ring!! EVER! -Did you cry when he proposed? We both did :P -Was the proposal romantic or creative? Totally Random just like us :D -Where do you want to go for your honeymoon? I would love to go overseas, ANYWHERE -Are you buying his wedding band for him? Yes and its sitting at my mums house with my wedding dress eep! -Have you gone over your original wedding budget? Not yet but it's early days. So far our Budget is 15k and our actual costs at 10k but who knows. -What day of the year will your wedding be? Sunday 20th November 2011 -What kind of weather? Anything. Our venues cater for everything. But i'd love sunny, clear and cool :P Wishful thinking eh' -Inside or outside? Both indoors. -Church/justice of the peace/other? Church, My grandfather is marrying us. (He's a minister) -How many people will be there? 150-200 -Time of day? 3pm ceremony 6.30pm Reception -Any kind of theme? Purple and Silver, Romantic :D -How many bridesmaids? Who would they be? 3 (My three sisters) -What kind of cake/what will it look like? I have no idea yet. I'm not a fan of cake but FH wants one. -Where will you have the reception? A local hall, really modern and CHEAP! -What kind of dress will you have/color/material? IDavids Bridal WG9828 It's ivory and STUNNING -What kind of flowers in your bouquet? Arghhh I want anemones but can't get them :( Thinking maybe rununculus and lisanthius -Kind of engagement ring? Pretty? -Kind of wedding bands? Mine is Whitegold with diamonds and Andrews is White gold with a gold band through the middle with one diamond :D -How will you wear your hair? Either half up, half down and curly and LONG or all down and curly -Who will be important to be there? My Husband :P -Will the reception be big or small? Medium 120 guests -What will the groom wear? Grey suits, Ivory shirt Purple tie :D -How long on Honeymoon? Not sure if we will get to go on a honeymoon. We both managers for the same company and losing two of us at once is really impossible -What will you do? Is that really a question *Wink -Will it be modest or costly? Modest -How old will you and the groom be? I'll be 22 and Andrew will be 25 We have our birthdays the two weeks after our wedding -Live together before or wait till married? Waiting until we are married :D It's sooooo hard! -Take a long time to plan the wedding or will it be simple? We are getting 12 months but pretty much finished planning, just need to pay the $$ -Will you do it yourself or with family or hire someone to plan the wedding? Ourselves with a fair bit of help from my mum :D -Will you write your own vows or use something pre-made? Probably both. |
