Ask a Question
Real or Fake Flowers?
I am really struggling with the fact of buying real flowers.. I kind of think they are a waste of money just for one day. I found these flowers at a dollar store and I think they are cute and the colours are so cute!
What do you think I should do? Real or fake?

I personally just LUV real flowers! But I do understand that it is hard to fork out the money to buy real flowers. A great way to save money on real flowers and still get those gerber daisies in the color you like is costco! Check online! These are the flowers It is about $80 for something like 80 flowers. Good Luck! =)

I'm with Aly, I love real flowers. Although it won't be anything near a dollar, there are a lot of websites that sell flowers wholesale.

I think fake flower centerpieces would be fine. But I do recommend getting a bouquet of real flowers at least for your bouquet.

I just looked at the costco website and that seems like a REALLY good idea!
Thank you so much!

My friend said this to me, which helped me make up my mind on real flowers vs. fake flowers.
"There's just something about smelling fresh flowers right before you walk down the aisle".
Personally, I prefer real flowers. You can get them wholesale, as the girls above me said, but you can also get them elsewhere for pretty good deals. If you're willing to arrange your own, you can call a florist and ask for different prices they have (by the stem). Also, you can go to Sam's Club or Wal-Mart and get their fresh flowers to arrange yourself (that's what we will probably do). But it also depends on how many flowers you'll need--are your centerpieces going to be flowers? How many bridesmaids/groomsmen you have, etc, etc. Good luck hun!

i'm having a really hard time with this too, I am not a big flower person but i feel ay  an event like a wedding they should be real.not too offend anyone but i personally feel that  fake flowers look tacky. I know what you mean about spending money for one day though and if i wasn't get my flowers just at cost because my best friends mom is a florist i would probably turn to fake flowers too.

I am doing my centerpieces in fake flowers, wrapping the gazebo in a fake floral garland and I don't think they look bad. They all match and there are just the right amount. The flower girl, Me and the bridesmaids will have real flowers. The boutinneres are real for the boys and my mom and his mom with wear a real corsage (spelling?). So I say where you can, like centerpieces, do fake but you really should have a real flower bouquet for you. They make pictures "pop" and they will smell sooooooo good!

I am using the same daisies from the dollar store for my centerpieces.  The lime green and hot pink ones.  I am buying real flowerd from Sams for the bouquets.  I think that it's wrong to kill so MANY flowers for one day.  The centerpieces won't be cherished as much as the bouquets.  Save money and our environment!
