And they were having a party and watching wedding videos...They are getting married this year in October and they have been doing research. They were compairing weddings they were talking about how my wedding was so fun and the best they have ever been to. They watched my dvd twice that day! It made me sooo proud!

Dated for a year and a half before getting engaged and engaged for a year and a half before getting married

Oh yes I did!

It was a surprise, not like I thought it would happen but a complete surprise.

Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so how big or small?
Anything bigger would look fake on my hands - he picked the perfect one

Did you cry when he proposed?
Kind of...I was sick though with the flu...

Was the proposal romantic or creative? Explain how if you'd like.
He did it in his favorite place-his car and he brought me out to eat afterwards- his sister was invited so she knew he was doing it...

When do you want to go for your honeymoon?
We actually went to Disney Land and Universal Studios and Island of Adventure the year before we got married to ease off on the planning...

Are you buying his wedding band for him?
I did buy his band

Have you gone over your original wedding budget?
My wedding only cost about 8K...I cut corners everywere and a big help was that his grandparents had a restaurant and they gave us the food and place for our present.

Inside - candle light wedding

We got married in a Catholic Church

We aimed for about 250 and we got around that give or take 50.

The wedding started at 7pm - I wanted it to be 8pm but that would've been too late

It was a vintage black and white 20's-40's theme butterflies, diamonds and pearls -no flowers were used - feathers were

How many bridesmaids? Who would they be?
I had my cousin Tiff but she didn't tell me she wasn't in it til the day before it- she lives in Cali
My cousins: Dorsey, Tyra, Paula
My sister: Stacy
My sis in law: Alicia
My friend: Katrina - she came from Cali

I originally was going with 12 girls -the church made me cut it down so it worked out perfect

What kind of cake/what will it look like?
Check out the pictures! The cake was to die for! Amaretto butter cream frosting and barvarian cream filling - yellow cake with amaretto flavor mmmmmmmmm!!!

Where will you have the reception?
We had it at his grandparents' restaurant - it was a gift -perfect setting!

What kind of dress will you have/color/material?
It was plain but went with everything-see pictures it was ivory but more of white...I also had a black sash I took off for the pictures and reception

What kind of flowers in your bouquet?
No flowers were used in the whole wedding - Feathers! See pictures

Kind of engagement ring?
White gold -1.5 carat diamond ring

Kind of wedding bands?
I have two that equal .25 each so it made the ring 2 carats

How will you wear your hair?
I wasn't sure til the last minute but i had two different veils, two different crowns, and my own hair and a semi wig...I ended up using the half wig and the front of my hair with the birdcage veil -no crown with a feather fastener and crystals...see pictures

Who will be important to be there?
Our parents, siblings and best friends. Everyone else is icing.

Will the reception be big or small?
Pretty big. 150-200 people.

What will the groom wear?
He wore an off white tux and shirt with the black tie and vest.

Where will you go for the honeymoon?
Went on a mini moon a year before the wedding to ease off with the wedding plans.

How long?
only 4 days -we were tired!

What will you do?
we rode all the rides we wanted and attended all the shows we wanted - the attractions excited us b/c we never went before. It was his first trip without his family and on a plane.

Will it be modest or costly?
the minimoon was cheap b/c I worked at a hotel and got one for the 4 nights for $100 -nice hotel too!

What will you stay in?
hotel

How old will you and the groom be?
I was 30 and he was 28

How long will you be engaged before you get married?
Over a year & a 1/2.

Live together before or wait till married?
we instantly knew it was right so we lived together - it worked out b/c we lived in the same condo complex and his lease was coming up and once that happend, he moved in with us. After a year after that, we brought us a house together.

Take a long time to plan the wedding or will it be simple?
I gave myself 6 months to plan my whole wedding and it went smooth.

Will you do it yourself or with family or hire someone to plan the wedding?
D and I are doing the planning ourselves because this is what I do.I did the whole thing from making the boutineers, to the centerpeice, to the selections of music!

Will you write your own vows or use something pre-made?
keep the church's vows - we just wanted to say I DO but the priest made us repeat and I was about to faint - I hate talking in front of people!

Ok so my female 19 year old cousin on my mom's side decides to get married in July... and my male 29 year old cousin on my dad's side decides to get married in October. They both want me to start trying on dresses and both know that I will not drop til the end of May. They both are expecting me to get the dresses ordered by March. I do plan on slimming down right after having the baby but I don't know what size I'll be being that I'm getting bigger and he keeps on doubling in size lol!
I am petite but I'm older than I was when I had my first two kids so that's a big factor right there. I usually slim right back down but my chest doesn't. I think I would order a bigger size b/c of my chest and try to take it in but the way things are going with my body, I don't know what to do.
I was a size 3/4 in regular clothes when I was 24 and a size 3/4 or 5 when I was 26 and by the time I turned 28, my age weight came about. I ended up getting a wedding dress size 12 b/c of chest but they couldn't take in the sides b/c it would've altered the dress and was against that company's policies. I really want to be in both weddings but I don't know when will be the right time to actually try on and order on a dress.

We are having a boy...It's getting closer and I think we are going with the name Skyler Andre... The other names we had was Lucus, and Kodi...I also liked Aiden and Shelbi. We have went to a 3D and 4D ultrasound place and we loved it- i will try to post some but we are going back by next month to see him and all his fatness!
