Well I've been working on making our own Monograms for our invites and programs and so far this is what I've come up with. The lettering is Dark Purple but it doesn't show up that well here :(
I'd like to change the & part, make it more like this & and then glue a crystal to it. Alas my MS word is old and it doesn't have alot of pretty fonts :( so I might have to go out and get a newer version.
You guys are sooo good with your DIY stuff, I feel kinda like a kindergartner doing crafts compaired to some of the stuff I'm seeing on here. I am trying though ;D
So what do you guys think??? Any hints or tips?
******After getting a question on how I did this I thought I would let you all know (I have MS Word):
~I took the image and imported it into MS Word, ~ go to insert and add a text Box, ~once text box is added imput the text, for me it was "Andrea & John". ~sized the text box so the text fit into the opening of of the image, ~move the text box away from the image backing ~Right click on image backing and go to edit picture ~Another screen should pop up. ~In the second screen add your Text (I copied and pasted) ~this should set the words into the image backing (for smaller movements hold down Ctrl and use the arrow buttons for a perfect fit) ~Click on text box and go to Format Text Box, Click Color and Line ~ Color - No Fill, Line Color - No Line ~Close edit picture Your text should now be apart of your image I found to resize the image (made it smaller for Monogram) it was easiest to use Format Object and Size. You can then make it the hight and width you need or just reduce by % (I reduced by 50%)
If you have any questions let me know. I hope that helps :D
Very nice. you can download free fonts and install them to your computer. dafont.com, urbanfonts.com, free-fonts.com all have fonts you can download to your computer then simply google how to install in fonts in ___________ (instert your version of windows) windows will then make the font available in all your software applications.
Hope that helps!
Thanks Marta12!!! I'll look into that
