How are you making your wedding night special?

Today FH and I got talking about how we can make our wedding nights special. We are planning to stay in a hotel although it's a unnescisary cost since we live a 5 minute drive from where our reception is. But I was looking for something a little more special.

I've seen a few brides post about how they are waiting for marriage. They've either cut off sex already or plan to for a set amount of time before the big day.

I mentioned it to FH and he didn't seem to hate the idea. When I asked him how long he could wait, he replied with 1 month. We pinky swore on it and now as of April 14th, 2011 we will give up sex until our wedding night.

But now that we've planned to do that I want it to be even more special.

I'm thinking I will buy a new lingerie set for the night. One that is white and lacy and makes me feel like a bride.

I'm also thinking to get FH excited for our wedding night, the morning of the wedding I'll give him a book of boudoir photos of me. I'll be doing them DIY to save on cash. Hopefully I can talk someone into being a photographer for me or it will just be me and the camera.

So my question to you girls: What are you doing to make your wedding night special? Are you waiting? Doing boudoir photos? All of the above?

yup we holding off too i alreday talk to him and he said it was fine, also bookin into a hotel and getting some nice white lingerie something special, Im also goin to book a photo shoot to make him a boudoit album which i will be sending to his room the morning of the wedding lol! so yeah gotta keep it special

my FH and i haven't had sex at all yet. so that will be special enough. but i plan on getting some cute lingerie and also maybe do a diy boudoir shoot too.

We haven't had sex at all either, so it's going to be one special night! I will get something cute to wear but not going to buy anything too expensive coz I doubt it will stay on for long, lol. :)

Ammybride: I only just started thinking past the wedding day. Its been the past week we've been talking about the wedding night and honeymoon.

I don't think you have to make it special if it isn't important to you. In the end, its your day you can do whatever the heck you want.

sjsbride and hannikay: That's AWESOME. The closer I'm getting the my big day the more I wish I'd saved myself. But when I was younger it matter to me.

its awesome to plan something special! best of luck. I bought the cutest lingerie for our wedding night but after being sooooooooooooooooooo exhausted we just got to the dirty and i couldnt fathom spending more effort to put on lingerie lol. not the most romantic of nights. save it for the second night! thats when it was better!

holding off!? My FH would never go for that. But we may be so busy that'll it'll happen that way.

We are only about 5 min away from our Reception Hall too. However we will be getting a hotel in the honeymoon suite of course and doing all that' romantic lovey dovey stuff.

And of course Lingerie is a MUST! (something he'll enjoy! Something you'll love wearing!)
I also did a Boudior shoot recently. Very FUN! And FH LOVED them.
