Its that time of Fall again: the sounds of dragging heels, buses rumbling by, pencils
being sharpened, and parents breathing a sigh of relief. In some parts of certain towns
there are also the sounds of binge drinking and pointless philosophical debates. Yep, its
time to go back to school!
Regardless of whether you love school, hate it, or are no longer a part of it, the end of
summer heralds a turning point in our daily activities. Instead of camping and bike rides,
we start playing board games and drinking tea. It also heralds the famous back-to-school
Now, if youre like me, you start shopping for events after theyve already started. So
in my world, back-to-school shopping can last well into November. (At which point holiday
shopping starts, which lasts until Valentines Day if you do it right.)
