Just an update
It is starting to feel all so very real!
We have booked our venue, signed our catering contract, reserved a block of hotel rooms for guests as well as a junior suite for ourselves, the guys have gone for their first tux fitting and decided on a florist! All in the past two weeks too! So happy with how things are coming along, the next 122 days are going to fly by! Cheers!  |

How many entree choices are you having?
We are in the process of finalizing our menu for our reception and have decided to offer three entrees, Sirloin, Chicken & Salmon, all to be served with a vegetable medley and mashed potato, and a house salad along with a mini gazpacho soup to start. Fresh Rolls will be at each table as well and after dinner a selection of desserts will be available.
We originally were going to offer a choice of 2 entrees, but during the tasting everything was delicious and it was impossible to narrow it down! We also decided on plated dinners served to guests rather than a buffet to keep on schedule for the night and maximize time for dancing and other festivities. Do you think 3 is too much to choose from? I've seen weddings with more choice but 2 seems to be most common. How many entree choices are you having? Buffet or Plated service? I'd love to hear what you are doing and how you made your decision, we'd like to sign our contract next week and cross that off the do list! |

I love how simple and elegant it is! The v-neck and full skirt make it super flattering on all the girls. The navy hue is such a pretty color and I think it will pair nicely with red bouquets. They can definitely re-wear it after the wedding as well, making it a great value! I am so happy they love it as much as I do, I actually bought the same dress in red because I <3 it so much!  |

My Engagement Ring
This is the little beauty that the boy proposed with, it belonged to his grandmother who wore it in the fifties! I absolutely love it!
I found it incredibly touching and sweet that his family wanted him to have it to propose to me. It makes me smile every time I look at my ring finger. I'll share more details about the proposal and our history in a later blog. I'm thinking a very dainty gold wedding band would look lovely paired with it without distracting from its beauty.  |

Introducing Audrey,
   Isn't she a darling? I love her A-Line silhouette, 3/4 length sleeves and her sweet little pockets. She is the perfect match for me! I have to admit I was a little hesitant to order a dress online, especially because I had not even gone dress shopping yet. I couldnt stop thinking about this one though and decided that I did not need a traditional long gown. Even though this dress was a far cry from what I initially envisioned when it arrived and I tried it on, I knew it was love. My face lit up and I couldnt stop smiling ear to ear. I only need to have the hem shortened; otherwise she fits like a glove. So excited to get married and dance the night away in this dress! Did any of you pick a dress completely different from what you thought you would? Did any of you order a dress online without being able to try it on first? I would love you hear your experiences! |
