FH and I got engaged in the Spring of 2011 - I can't even recall the date because I knew it was coming. I had picked the ring, and even though FH had tried to trick me and told me there was a problem and the ring would only come days or weeks later, I knew he had it. He couldn't wait and neither could I, so he just popped the ring and popped the question, and from that moment on, I started planning! :)
I think the thing I was looking most forward to was to choose a photographer. In my mind, I will only get married once, and I do want the big dress, and I do want to play supermodel for a day, because in my daily life, I am a homebody, and if I could be in jeans during the day and pyjamas at night every single day, I would be! So getting a photographer that would be able to capture the supermodel in me was important! hahaha..
I looked at the websites of countless photographers - some with amazing portfolios and some not-so-great. I really loved 2 or 3 in our area, and in the end, I signed with PhotoLux Studio because I was just in love (or in lust?) with their portfolio.
They are pricey, and they don't give you the digital files as part of your package (which is disappointing), but I'm hoping that the album will blow me away so much that I will forget about that detail. Alot of people I know who have gotten married have said that you look at the album alot in the beginning, and then again at every anniversary, but that having the 700+ photos of their entire wedding day on disc has been completely useless. The CD is just accumulating dust, and it is way too strenuous to go through all those pictures anyways!
