I absolutely hate the "tinking" of glasses at wedding receptions to get the bride and groom to kiss!...

Wedding Cake
We've made a decision
Our cupcake vendor is creative, helpful, and easy to work with. Her cupcakes are delicious and we are very excited! Our cupcakes are going to look like the ones with the small flowers in the picture.
We also figured out a solution for a stand. We are still going to use the square one pictured, and create it ourselves. I worked in a hobbies and crafts store for most of my high school and college career, and called upon my friends there to help us find the supplies we need to build it ourselves. Have you heard of cake dummies? They are styrofoam blocks that they use in cooking schools to make display or dummy cakes. Those are definately a great solution! |

Wedding wands
We are getting married in a garden where the only thing they allow thrown is rose petals, and we would have to clean them up afterwards. Our reception hall also has the same rules. I found this on melissaswitten.blogspot.com, and think wedding wands will be perfect!

Wedding Invitation
Picked!
We have been contemplating our invitations for awhile. They are what set the "mood" for the wedding right? I ordered a few samples of more traditional ones that I could live with and I thought my fiance would like. We both ended up hating them! We both loved this one immediately. We are going to change the orange part of the flower and text to hot pink. These are perfect because the garden we are getting married in has a bunch of unique flowers like the one shown on here.

First Impressions
We are going to use a guest note jar instead of the traditional guest book. These will be fun to incorporate into the wedding scrapbook. This will be some work, but I think this is more personal than having two seperate books (photo album and guestbook).
I am still brainstorming our escort card set up. I am inbetween a board, setting them up in a tray filled with something fun, and attaching them to our favors. |
