Finally! Our Day is Here!!
Getting married tommorrow morning!
I haven't been on in a few weeks. Things are CRAZY! lol Everything is set and this time tomorrow, I will be walking toward Daniel to marry him. After such a long engagement and years together, we will finally be husband and wife. Words really can't describe how I am feeling. A little nervous, Very excited, happy, and a bit sad. Sad because he is leaving for Afghanistan in about 13 days. This is hard for me. To let myself enjoy it and try not to think about the fact that I wont see him again for a year. BUT, I am going to try my hardest to take in every special moment, every kiss, every smile and tear that is shed to remember how happy of an occasion it is. He makes me feel beyond loved and our little family is very blessed.
Thank all of you ladies for all the thoughts, comments and suggestion through the past 5 months. I only wish I would have known about this site from the begining. I wish all of you the very best in your own planning and wedding. Leaving in a few for the hotel in Nashville and a day of pampering with my girls. IM GETTING MARRIED IN 1 DAY! |

Quick couple lbs lost?
Hey girls, Ive got a question. Hoping someone can fill me in on some juicy tips! I dont know what is going on with my strong will and determination these days but I cannot seem to stop eating yummy and non bridal gown friendly foods. I think Im almost at that awesome monthly time ( really its not awesome at all ) so Im hoping thats it but my goodness. Italian foods, icecream treats with my kids, southern style meat and 3's. I need a bridal intervention. Ive already had my dress altered and my last fitting. Its in my closet and way too late to turn back to be let out. I need to shed a few very quickly without the dangers of not eating. Anyone know of a good regimin that can be done in smaller time blocks? Ive got 3 crazy kids that are unwilling to help in my endeavours and actually, I think they might be conspiring againts me.

This was not our first choice but after taking a tour, we were so happy we went. Its details and elegence are apparent but still has a relaxed atmosphere. Which is more us. We are having our ceremony inside in front of a fireplace adorned with candles The room has coffered ceilings, two masonry fireplaces with wood mantels, brick hearths and surround, and plantation shutters . The reception is outside on the patio with gorgeous views of the lush garden. Ok so, I am getting butterflies the more I start to think about our day!!!

Marriage License done....
We're in the books
This is a picture taken at the County clerk's office on the 7th of July. We went and got our Marriage license and are now officially in the books. There are so many little things going on right now, its so hard for me to focus on just one thing. But, Ive been getting them done little by little and soon it will be our day!

Makeup Woes
Hey girls! Hope all of you are having a wonderful Monday! Well, as good as it can get for a Monday I suppose. I am stressing out a little. I had my hair & makeup trail on Friday. The lady is So sweet! She was so funny and bubbly. I think maybe bc it was friday. Anywho, she did my hair and after a few different styles, I picked an amazing one! Very happy with what she came up with. However, makeup was another story. Im fair complexted. I made the mistake of saying I wanted a dramatic eye. I got black all over my eyes. Tried for a more toned down version but, it was still very heavy. She was here for over 3 hours and had to leave so we could drive to another city to get my dress from alterations. She left and I was very disappointed, scared, and upset. I tried to email her and send her some pictures of more what I was thinking but I have to admit, I am still very worried. Do they typically offer more than 1 trial run? What should I do? Im usually not the confrontational type but honey, for $600.00 Im going to make sure I get what I pay for!! Ugh, Im just stressed out about so many things!

Countdown!
Oh man, its coming fast!
I can't even believe that we are down to a month now. We have been planning this for a year and a half and its almost time! I am beyond thrilled and a little nervous. So excited to finally be his wife and be able to relax and focus on our family while he is gone. Most nights, my brain is so overloaded with little wedding details, I can't even bring myself to fall asleep. Patterns, placement, hairstyles, bridesmaids, gifts, money, jewelry, the dress, alterations, ect. Soon, we will have our day to enjoy our love for each other and party with friends and family!! So, you will probably see more posts from me in the days left! WOO HOO!!

Bridesmaid Hair the same style?
Morning girls! I was up thinking last night about my bridesmaids and what they were going to do with their hair. I am having serious issues trying to narrow down choices for myself (see previous post for pictures if you wanna chime in on your thoughts! lol) but what are you guys doing for your BM's? Are you picking one style for all or giving them free reign on choosing a style themselves? I kinda feel like maybe (since Im spending almost $600.00 on hair and makeup for everyone) I should choose to make it easier on the stylist but then again, Im spending almost $600.00, she can do different styles for each. I want them to feel comfortable and enjoy the pampering a little. What do you all think?

Our Pretty Cake!
This is a picture that is similar to what our cake will look like. Ours will have black ribbon around the 1st and 3rd layer and the 2nd layer will have dots with our monogram in the center. It will also have soft pink and white flowers on top with cascading flowers down the side and at the bottom. I can't wait to eat it, we spent a long time tasting the flavors, fillings, and icings. It will be a strawberry cake with chocolate buttercream filling and white chocolate cream cheese icing. Our top layer (the anniversary layer) is chocolate fudge with raspberry filling. Yum! I really like the checkered pattern, to me, its very classic and beautiful.

Need Help for Trial Run
Its been a little while since I was here. We are less than 40 days away now. Im so excited, I can hardly stand it. My hair and makeup lady will be coming to my house soon for the run through and I need some serious help in choosing 2 or 3 hairstyles to try. I know I want my hair up or atleast off my back. Its very long, probably halfway down my back now. Also, the wedding is in Nashville and in Aug, Hot Hot Hot weather and humid too! I have naturally very curly hair but wanted to go for something straighter with maybe a few curls but mostly straight. Any help, comments, ideas are Very much welcomed!

We are having an intimate morning wedding with just our closest friends and family. FH is a Sgt in the US Army with the 101st Airborne. He will be deploying, again, shortly after the wedding so this will be a great positive to focus on and enjoy with everyone.
