So this past week I had a major meltdown and almost called off the wedding. All because the wedding planning process is not as fun as I thought it would be. Both my fiance and mother are driving me crazy because they keep changing their minds about EVERYTHING! So finally I just said thats enough. So in the middle of all of this I had done serious thinking about the colors of my wedding. And I just couldn't get colors to mesh the way I wanted them to. So that was a problem that was easily changed. So I switched. We were doing orange cause my fiance wanted it...but he only wanted orange and I said dear its not that easy. So we are going with my idea...which I love.....we are doing a sunflower/country themed wedding. Our colors are going to be sunflower(golden)yellow, cherry red, and white. We are going to use mostly sunflowers for decorations...tables covered with red and white checkered table cloth like picnic style. And down home good cooking. And I am in love with the idea. I'm finally excitd to plan this wedding.

We finally did some wedding planning and booked our photographer. He is actually the one who took our profile picture, which was taken at my sister's wedding. (And we are using the picture as our engagement photo) Joe, the photographer, is a friend of mine from way back. I wasn't sure if we were going to book him until my sister got her pictures back and we just love them. He is very laid back and it's nice to actually know the photographer. So he is going to be around for the entire day snapping photo's at a very reasonable price (nice having friends that give you discounts!) So atleast I can check one thing off the list......9845745 million more do to! Hah.

I'm about to pull my hair out on this one!!! I cannot make a final decision on the colors. My FH and I both want orange. The wedding is in September, but I don't want to do the typical fall color scheme. Also, I don't want orange bridesmaids dresses. I just want orange flowers and such. So my idea right now is Orange and Grey. Grey dresses for bridesmaids and orange for everything else. But I would like an accent color with that. I love love love sunflowers and gerber daisies so would yellow look good or should i do a red? Or do something completely different. I just know that I do not want brown and I do not want all reds, oranges, yellows, and browns. So any ideas? Thanks!

So I've been researching places to travel to for our honeymoon. And I'm stuck. We are thinking of traveling a week after we wed, which would be around September 15. At first we were thinking somewhere beachy and tropical, but that is hurricane and wet season. I started to look at Hawaii, but it seems so darn expensive. We are on a tight budget and don't want to spend too much. We are very open to any suggestions. We love the beach and we love the mountains. We are outdoorsy people, and we like to be doing something. Laying on the beach is nice, but we couldn't do that for an entire week. I started looking into renting a cabin in Montana. Any other ideas?

I bought my wedding dress two weeks ago!!! I can't find a good picture of it online....the picture here does not do it justice. When I began my wedding dress search, I looked in the three bridal shops in Erie. I wasn't impressed at all. I had picked two favorites from David's Bridal...but I just couldn't get myself to buy one from there. It was very upsetting to be trying on a dress, and the girl in the next dressing room was trying on the same one. Yikes. So, my mom and I ventured down to Sharon, PA and looked at two bridal shops. I found a beautiful dress, but decided to give the other shop a try. The first dress that I tried on at The Winner is the one I bought....it is nothing like I ever envisioned my wedding dress to be, but I love it. I was planning on doing white, but the dress is candlelight...in between white and ivory...so pretty. Its a very simple dress and it is not poofy. I wasn't planning on wearing a veil either, but I put one on and fell in love. You know that moment when you just know it's the right one...I had that moment. I was able to take the dress home that day and it just needs hemmed and some cups put it...it was that perfect!!! And to make things better, I got a real good deal on it...it was 60% off...I scored the dress and veil for $200. I'm doing this wedding on a budget, and this was way way way below budget. Yesss!

Just found this site....The proposal happened on June 10, 2008. Jimmy and I were spending a few days with close friends and family at the Outer Banks in North Carolina. I asked Jimmy if he wanted to take a walk with me and our little puppy, Boca. He said he would meet me outside in a few mintues....We started walking on the beach and Jimmy started mumbling about how much he loved me and how he couldn't want to make lots of babies with me. I just laughed at him cause he was acting so silly. We continued to walk and he started to get really quiet. We walked past a couple playing guitars. Jimmy stopped me and gave me a big hug and started talking silly again. After about five minutes of him rambling on about love, and me laughing at him, he dropped to his knee. He took the ring out of his pocket, and asked me to marry him. I completely lost it. I cried like a baby for ten minutes. Of course, I said yes. We walked back to the house, and I told everyone! I was crying so much, my dad thought something bad had happened. It was an amazing proposal with the ocean in the background, and everyone being around to celebrate!
