I am also doing cupcakes... my main reason is that cake just seems like a crazy expense!!!! AND, my FH LOVES the local grocery stores cupcakes, LOL.

I'm having cupcakes at my wedding with a small cutting cake. I love the look of cupcakes. I see you're also using a damask theme in your wedding. I'll let you in on a little deal I found! On BakeItPretty.Com they have super cheap damask baking cups for cupcakes. I bought about 250 of them and it was roughly $50 and that includes shipping and everything!

I had a cake, because it was included with my reception but I think cupcakes are adorable. I would have done those if I had a choice!

Do both. Have a small cutting cake on top & then cupcakes for the guests. That is what we are doing. Plus we are able to have 2 different flavor cupcakes this way.

Are you having any Jr. B/M's or Jr. attendents? They could be helpful w/ this and they would probably have fun. Thanx for the reminder on this subject. I guess I'll need to ask mine if they would do the honors. Good luck.

We're doing cupcakes because we found a store that makes cupcakes to die for. The manager at my venue also told me that she frequently has to throw out leftover cake but she's never once thrown out a cupcake.

I have decided to do cupcakes with a cake on top. It saves you from paying cake cutting fees.

I personally like cupcakes better, they are just way easier to eat and people can just help themselves.
But I like this picture you have with the cake at the top, so atleast you can do your cake cutting still!?!?
