The Proposal
Shakespeare in Delaware Park
Joe and I are both actors, but we have taken some time off of acting to go to graduate school. A bunch of our friend were in a show at Shakespeare in Delaware Park, and Joe invited all of my friends and family for a picnic. At intermission, a license plate number was called over the PA. I recognized the numbers, and I asked him if he parked near a fire lane or something. He took me onstage and he made a little speech, saying that we met doing theatre and thought the stage would be the only appropriate place to take the next step in our relationship, and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!
