I'm so proud of this project! :) After being inspired by other brides' DIY boxes and forthemodernbride's boxes, I decided to try one myself. All supplies were bought at Hobby Lobby. And lucky me, all ribbon was on sale 50% off the day I went! I splurged a little, knowing that I would need ribbon for other wedding projects to come and spent $25 on ribbon alone ($50 worth!) The most expensive part of this project was definitely the paper mache boxes. I know I probably could have searched around to find a deal, but I was simply too lazy. The boxes cost a total of $15. The material to cover the boxes in was $6 total. I found some cute iron on letters and decided to make a monogram on the last box with them. The S & A were $1.99 a piece and the W was $2.99. I also found the cute rhinestone buckles that are on the ribbon for $3.99 for a pack of 4. Out of the $25 worth of ribbon, i probably only used about $5 worth on this project. This brings the total to right under $40, but well worth it to me. Plus, I get to say "yeah- I made that!"
Don't get me wrong... this was definitely a well-worth-it project to me, but I would not recommend it to someone that doesn't have patience. This bad boy took me a little more than 5 hours to complete! If it wasn't for my MOH I probably would have quit a few times, lol. But in the end it was all worth it! :)
