Ask a Question
Let's talk skin care.
With 97 days to go and the reality hitting and the pressure hitting even harder I feel the need to start thinking about my skin and wedding day glow. I need help ladies! I am hoping that someone out there can recommend the perfect skin care routine to me. I'm talking great face wash, moisturizer, spa treatments etc. I am stepping up my water intake so that one I've got covered. I also saw somewhere that if you eat fish twice a day for the week before the wedding your skin will be beautiful! (or just take a fish oil pill for a few months). But I need more ideas!!

Does anyone have any recommendations for things I should start doing now? Also things to do as the big day gets closer???

well this is what i do (but keep in mind that i'm neurotic):
every evening i take...

multi-vitamin
calcium
fish oil
vitamin b12
msm with glucosamine

i drink plenty of water (i really like smart water) and don't eat sugar and i'm trying to lower my salt intake

for my skin care regimen:
i use paula's choice products that you can only order online or over the phone...i use her:
skin balancing cleanser
skin balancing toner
anti-oxidant concentrate
beta hydroxy liquid
lightweight moisturizer
blemish solution (if i need to)

in the morning i just use the cleanser, tone, beta hydroxy liquid and her skin balancing spf 15 lotion.  i always wear spf when i'm in the sun and sunglasses.

note that this isn't my wedding routine, this is my everyday for the rest of my life routine because, if i haven't mentioned before, i'm insane.

Clinique has some of the best skin products I've ever used. I also use daily moisturizer from DeCleor. I'm blessed in the fact that I've never had skin problems so I can't recommend anything for problem skin.

You are very correct about fish. Fish has oils that will naturally nourish your skin.

Foods rich in Anti-oxidants are great, green tea is a great inti-oxidant.

Vitamin a is a must for healthy looking skin. Carrots, sweet potatoes, broccoli, and spinach are great for vitamin A.

Vitamin E also helps skin. Hazelnuts and almonds are a great snack for Vitamin E.

With an extra glass or two of water you should see a diference in your skins glow.

I left a post here b4, but I guess it was deleted or had a system flaw.  SO that I don't ramble, I agree with the previous posts.  I also found that natural honey is great for reducing pores.  Good Luck-

I have pretty good skin usually but as soon as I get stressed out I get breakouts so I use Dermalogica products. I also love Estee Lauder's Idealist which gives you the smoothest skin ever. For moisturizer I usually use Avon ANEW Retroactive which is a brilliant product at a great price.
For my hair I use Redken Body Full range which cleanses brilliantly and gives great volume, hold and shine to my hair.
I also take Sea Kelp, Zinc and Multivitamin tablets every day and drink lots of water.
I've been drinking Matcha tea for the last few months, basically swapped my daily coffee for this disgusting tasting (boiled greated spinach anyone?) liquid but I've never felt this good and strangely I now love the taste of the tea. It refreshes you without giving tummy ache or the jittery feeling of coffee-caffeine.
I also tried Pu-erh tea and just ordered my first box, so we shall see what happens. It basically cleanses out the whole body, stimulating metabolism, flushing out toxins (ergo cleaning up skin) AND aids weight loss. People are losing quite a bit of weight with this tea alone which is not a goal of mine but a nicely detoxed body is.
Good luck with all your beautyfying!
