This is augustbride08's Green Wedding!

Every thing went perfect. If something went wrong I didn't know about it. Me and my Hubbs enjoyed ourselves and danced the night away. Leaving for our honeymoon tomorrow so I'll post some pics of the wedding before I leave.

I hate goodbyes :( Thank you to all the girls who have given me inspiration and advice. I hope I have given you the same. This is it, it's finally here! I can't believe it. We've been waiting for this for so long and now it's all coming together. I had a few last minute cancellations (like 5!!!) but I'm not worrying about it because tomorrow is just about me and him. I hope all of you have amazing weddings and that all your frustration is minor compared to the life you get to share with your best friend. I tend to worry a lot about minor details so I went for a relaxing massage last night and I also did acupuncture. It was so nice to get away from my cell phone and planner and family for an hour. Do something nice for yourself to relax. It will be so good for you.

This is what I get for trying to save money. I was going to wear the red dress (below) to my rehearsal, but when I showed my mom she was like "Ummmm, no. Let's go get a new one!" I'm like whaaaaa?? This is what I get for trying to save myself $$. I was trying to be frugal, for once (usually I get a new outfit for every occasion, including christmas) and it gets slammed in my face. Anyway, went to the store last night and my mom bought me this dress. Not quite as fancy as the red one, but I like it the same. You can't see it in the picture but underneath it it has a little bit of mesh so it poofs out a little but. It's cute and I agree, it's a lot less fancier than the red one. We'll just have to save that one for the honeymoon.

weather.com says 89°F and Partly Cloudy on my wedding day. Well, well. that's a hellava lot better than last week when I checked (scattered T-Storms!!!) Nothing can stop me now. haha.

1. Go to the toilet even if you don’t need to go, as it may be awhile until you get another opportunity (might even be the reception).

2. Put your deodorant on and allow for drying time.

3. Eat! Your wedding day is not the time for low blood pressure or passing out due to hunger.

4. Be sure you are wearing the lingerie you wanted to wear (and not your comfortable yet unattractive attire).

5. Many brides have found wearing their shoes while putting their dress on, is easier than putting their shoes on later (especially if wearing a larger traditional dress).

6. Brush your teeth. You may not be keen to do this after your make up is finished but if you intend to brush, it is a good idea to do so before your dress is on.

7. Though not imperative for the bridesmaids to be dressed before the bride, however I feel it is better for photography.

My future In-laws are here to help! They drove in from MI on saturday morning and so far we've gotten all loose ends tied. My table numbers are going to fit in the floral centerpieces, the topiary and lower style. It's going to look so good. The OOT bags are all finished and place cards and the place card ribbon board is all finished!! Whoo Hoo!!! I've got 3 more days left and I'm not nervous yet. I think by the rehearsal I'll start feeling butterflies.

I didn't know whether to put any up or not. I'd be curious if any of you ladies did this so... I'll cure a little curiosity. I put up the cleanest one.

I'm not making any promises this is going to be my last hairstyle change. I love it but then I'll sleep on it for a few days, talk w/ my hairstylist (I'm in there at least 3x per week talking with her) and then I'm always like, eh, don't know if that's going to work for me. I'm a girl, that's what were supposed to do. DUUUH!!
I have a back up plan though when I go into the salon the day of the wedding. If it turns out like S*%T again, refer to the last pic. Plan B.

I had my session last night. OMG, I have never felt so good about myself. My photographer made me feel very comfortable and he was so respectful. I was a little shy at first but he was very calm and made me feel beautiful. If any of you ladies are doing this make sure you talk with your photographer before you start shooting. Have a glass of wine or something that will make you feel relaxed. He asked me a few days earlier if there was anything I wanted to drink, coffee, juice, wine, etc. Of course I opted for white zinfindal. I had a glass and a half before we started shooting. He gave me a cd with the proofs for me to choose which 20 I wanted (which was included in the price). I had so much fun and I never felt better about doing it. I say if you're wondering if you should do it or not, I say go for it. Definitely do it. Your FH will love them and you can look at yourself when your older and admire how good you look. :)

Should I go with a colored dress for the ceremony rehearsal or get a new dress that's white. I've only worn it once since I've bought it (last year). I really like the dress I think it's very flattering but I don't know if it's too red. I don't know what to do. I don't want to spend $$ on a new dress, so I wanted to get your ladies' opinon first. AHHHH, one more week.

Wish me luck, I've got my boudoir pics tonight!! My photographer seems super nice on the phone and is promising me that I won't feel shy at all. I'm bringing some white zinfindal too help calm the nerves a little bit too! Ohhhhhh, I'm so excited!

Found the exact pics I showed the florist for the pew pomander balls and the topiary style centerpieces. My table numbers will go in both topiary style and lower style floral centerpieces. I love it.

I can't believe it's almost here. I've been having crazy amounts of stress, but lately (like yesterday and today to be honest) all I'm thinking about is how happy I'll be when we're finally married. Planning has been crazy, but I really enjoyed it. I don't have much left to do; place cards and out of town guest bags for the hotel. I'm meeting with my florist tonight and the reception hall planner next week for finalization on everything. We have our pre-rehearsal tomorrow. Me and the future hubbs are going to do a walk through with our pastor and hear our music on the big organ. Then next wednesday is my boudoir shoot (YEAY!!!) and then I'm pretty much d o n e planning. I can't believe it's here. It came so fast.

My department at work just surprised me with a wedding luncheon!! My boss send me on a wild goose chase for a list of the craziest things ever (bilingual hydrogen peroxide, whaaaat??) I came back to work and my whole department was decorated in white streamers and little bell confetti everywhere! It was so nice and I was really surprised.

Do you think these are ok to wear under my dress for the wedding? Are they "too blue" for my something blue?

What do you ladies think of this outfit for my boudoir shots?? Went to Victorias Secret today and thought the little lace skirt was so damn sexy, I had to have it. So cute, right?

I had my final fitting today. I have to say, it's so amazing. I love it. My bustle won't be sticking out like it is in the pics though. My Mom also got her dress fitted.

Thank you to all the girls who helped give me ideas for my FH's grooms gift. I found a photographer in Chicago who does boudoir photography. I have my appointment next wednesday!! I'm really excited and I know he's going to love it. I'm going to wear his Justin Verlander (Detroit Tigers) jersey and the photographer told me to bring a few more outfits just for fun. I also plan on getting him the watch from Fossil. Yeay, I'm really excited. I'll post pics of my shots when I get them back. Thanks for all of your suggestions, I don't think I would have thought of it myself!!

HELP!! I need major help in deciding what to get my FH for his grooms gift. He told me he already spent $200 US on me. I wanted to get him a dress watch but the ones I've looked at only came out to be about $100. I have 18 almost 17 days till the wedding. OMG, I'm freaking out. He's a huge Detroit Tigers fan (Go Cubbies) so I was thinking about having fun with that, like Detroit Tigers cufflinks? I really want it to be special though. Any of you ladies have any suggestions?

Two weekends ago I had my trial run for my hair and it did not turn out the way I wanted it to. So I went to my hairstylist last night, freaking out, and showed her a few pics of how I think I would want my hair and we finally chose what I'm going to do. FINALLY!!! I also picked out my makeup style last night too.

I don't remember who's blog these were on, but I absolutely love this hairstyle. I went in for my trial a few weekends ago and I didn't take any pics b/c right after I left the salon it was out! There were so many bobby pins it was really uncomfortable. Finallly found a cake worth eating! haha. Love this. Instead of buttercream flowers I'll have real flowers on mine.

Ok, so while in MI for our shower last weekend, my future MIL bought us an "A" for our topper. I love it! I think It's so fitting (as my new last name starts w/ an "A"). The same day my grandmother surprised me with and heirloom cake topper that's been in the family for the last 60 years! I love the story behind it. Even though they are a little dirty my grandmother said she could try to clean them up a bit. I'm torn as to what to do. Should I keep them both? Use them both? Return one?

I'm looking for original guestbook ideas. I came across these but didn't know if any other brides knew of anything else. I love the idea of guests writing little messages to us. I know we would get a lot of positive feedback from doing something like this. Has anyone found or heard of something like this or something similar??

I finally finished them today. One less thing I have to worry about. I also uploaded the template I used to make these. I placed the template in Adobe Illustrator, printed them out, cut them (I used a mini slide cutter, kind of like the thrid picture I uploaded) then I used regular scissors to round the corners. I also bought a bunch of floraly stamps and a green stamp pad to put some color on the fan pages.

I want to say thank you to marta12 for the inspiration. I think these fit perfect with my green theme for my wedding. I only made one so far b/c I don't know who's sitting at what table. So no names yet, but when I get a final head count and know where my guests are sitting I'll post a finished place card.
