so no professional pics were taken on the beach
after the afternoon reception, we all headed down to the beach
and went a bit crazy...

Here are some pics of how the wedding ceremony actually happened. It was really relaxed and fun!!!! even more so than i had planned ( which is just a miracle since we kinda reorganized it in about a month) . Everyone seemed to have a really good time and especially husband and wife!

I totally didn't expect it, but some new friends threw me tan awesome Hen Party on Saturday night...

We went out on the town to a new club Coyote Ugly, where we got free bubbly and shook our booty - loved it! it was perfect for a hen night!

We then headed to an Aussie Bar WALKABOUT where we finished our fab night! got loads of free drinks and just had a great dance with some gorgeous gals.

It was the best night out I've probably ever had in Bournemouth!!!

And i was totally pink!

Last week my mother and grandma organised a little tea party at the grooms house.... which will be my new home as a married =0) it was such fun and OHHHHH so sinful

The ladies were so generous too! have many beautiful additions to our new home and i felt soooo blessed!

I got to decorate, which is always fun
we had fairy lights, flowers, lace, bunting,
and just a really fab time

Went out for a cocktail or two after the party
when i got back, he kinda looked like a lost puppy surrounded by pink... hehe it was pretty cute. he sent me a text saying 'my flat smells like flowers' He is now preparing himself for more of the same as the future hubby of me. LOL

OUR NEW DATE IS 17th July 2009

I finally received my fiance visa and am back in the UK.
We are simplifying our special day
and planning another ceremony in Australia next year

It has been so easy for me to get caught up in the excitement of planning the WEDDING OF THE YEAR, that it has been easy to forget what's important in life and having to cancel our wedding woke me up a little bit to some of the simple joys of life.

Having to live out of a suitcase in my Australia for three months when i only packed for two weeks! LOL that will beat the princess out of any girl...it was a case of goodbye specialized beauty treatments that i thought I'd always have and hello new way of living.

I experienced the joy of friendship, the joy of sharing, the joy of having to be creative with the little that i had, the joy of family and friends, the joy of new dreams, the joy of experiencing everyday, the joy of sunshine and the beach, the joy of being healthy and glowing on the inside, cultivating positivity and enjoying the spontaneous journey. Some days the suspense was killing me, and for most of the time, i actually did hope that everything would be OK. Everyday i would think, today's the day, i can go back to the UK and everything will be fine... until the day came where the wedding had to be postponed and i wondered if i should even hope anymore...

Missing my love so much that it hurt made me appreciate what a blessing it is Finding your soul-mate - and wanting to spend the rest of your life them and that IS worth celebrating.

My fiance visa did arrive in the end, but now we're playing things by ear to see if we stay in the UK or go back to AUSTRALIA. We will get married, pay off our debts, save up, travel and see what tomorrow brings.

The most important thing is that we're together again.
Simple is best.

NO visa news at all

After 3 months of waiting....
There's nothing that we can do

I have a feeling it's all going to work out for the best
...

I'm sorry to have to say that it's not looking good on the fiance visa front

I have been in Australia for almost 3 months and still don't have an answer... NOT a YES and NOT a NO

we have to cancel the wedding on friday if I have not heard....
I am sure things will work out for the best...in the end
it's a shame that i've had to go through so much pain
it's really lonely without my sweety

Gives me something to do for my relies over easter
Grandma, Grandpa, Aunty, Cousins, Cousinettes, my mother
and maybe even me (if i've been good on my wedding diet)

Recipe:
Makes12

Ingredients
* 325g unsalted butter, softened
* 1 cup (220g) caster sugar
* 1 1/2 cups (225g) self-raising flour, sifted
* 3 eggs
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
* 1/2 cup (125ml) milk
* 3 cups (450g) icing sugar, sifted
* Food colouring of your choice
* 12 coloured chocolate Easter eggs, to garnish

Method
1. Preheat the oven to 190°C. Line a 12-hole, 1/3-cup (80ml) muffin pan with paper cases.
2. Place 225g butter in a food processor with the caster sugar, flour, eggs, vanilla extract and 1/4 cup (60ml) milk. Process until the mixture is smooth, then divide among the muffin cases. Place in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until risen and golden.
3. Meanwhile, to make the icing, place the icing sugar, remaining 100g of butter and remaining 1/4 cup milk in the bowl of an electric mixer. Beat on medium-high speed for about 5 minutes or until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add a few drops of food colouring of your choice and beat to combine.
4. Remove the cupcakes from the oven, allow to cool slightly, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. When cakes are cool, scoop the icing into a piping bag with a star nozzle, then use to ice cakes. Garnish each one with an Easter egg, then serve.

an old altar that is not really used anymore, there will be low lighting
and a SPOTLIGHT and how romantic it's going to be!

I can already feel the excitement...

I have tried to make it nice and calm and a touch fun

These song ideas are intended to be played after the ceremony,
at the recessonal, and during our English Tea Party afternoon tea
in the church annexe... also when guests arrive for the reception,
and throughout the afternoon as the reception is being set up... maybe too during the reception.

Since we are both musicians, we want music to really feature in
our wedding

I have just written about this on my blog, and though I would
share the same here....
I am currently updating our gift registry
and have started to think about decorating our new home.

I have often wondered if we would differ on decorating Ideas.
He always said that with home decor, I could choose colours etc.
but I have discovered that he actually has very definite sense
of what he likes.

Imagine my delight when the only duvet cover we both liked on the John Lewis Gift List was the same one!!!

It's silver satin...

so i'm thinking grey/silver with black and white... and maybe natural
touches of brown to add warmth? have a look at some of my ideas....

I am hoping and praying that we receive all the bed linen on our
gift registry... it's such a need of ours! but i guess you can't really
control what people buy... i mean, what am i complaining about
i'll be happy to marry the LOVE of my life... it doesn't realllllly matter
but it's nice to dream.

He ADORES really modern furniture, and i like it quite a bit
but would probably add a feminine or romantic touch to it.
I guess a bit like the yin and yan...
