Counting My Chickens Before They Hatch...
or something like that.

Well whatever saying you use, I am going to keep thinking positive because the weather.com is!

I'm getting married in September in Iowa. For those of you that don't live here, there is no such thing as a safe season. Our weather changes so much year to year since we have all four seasons that it is so hard to predict what your going to get on any one specific day. My MOH got married 2 years ago on September 27th (it was not intentional on our date picking part to be so close.) And it was hoooooooot, sooo hot. Last year, it snowed the first week of October.

But, weather.com seems to think that we're in luck. 77 degrees and cloudy (trust me girls- cloudy is better when it comes to outdoors and outdoor pictures. Reduces squinting!)

PERFECT WEATHER!! All I could ask for is the leaves to be changing. FH thinks that I shouldn't get my hopes up this far out, which I'm not. But at least its nice to know that good weather is predicted!

Here's the site I used if you are interested and want to check the weather for your date!

Where does it say what the degrees is expected to be ?

Or do you mean it's 77 degrees and cloudy where you are NOW?

I like that webpage ! Says Oct 1 was 78 degrees in 2007... we can hope it will be again !

Thanks for the post!!  I am also getting married in the midwest (Kansas City, MO) and know what you mean about the weather being unpredictable.  That 3-year lookback of what the weather was like on your wedding day was scary for me to look at...last year the high was 42 degrees on October 10th!!!!  Man, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for history to not repeat itself for me as well as your wedding weather staying great!!!

Scotchminx- Agreed! Put those happy thoughts out into the universe! haha

Bobbieg - When you plug it in it pops right up with what it should be that day... and no it's not 77 here now (don't I wish... it's 91 and muggy!!) Yeah!! Come on 2007 repeat! haha! If you plug in your date it will also tell you what it is predicted to be in the future too.

hecallsmehisdarlin- Oh you know exactly what I mean then, we are only about 3 hours apart driving wise (my gma lives in KC so I'm there all the time!) Don't be scared! I think it's part of being a midwestern girl, we have to battle the elements. I'll think warm great weather thoughts for October 10th and you start sending that good karma my way on the 25th, deal? :o)

Denanrae- Iiiiiiiii knoooow. I'm crazy, and willing to except it, but at least the history of 09/25 says that it should be nice, that's good right? haha

Really? Because when I put in my info/date etc - a box pops up next to it but it says "Right Now" 's weather. Maybe yours is different. Either way , it's a cool tool.

Great Site! I don't even like to think about the weather for my wedding! I am having an outdoor ceremony and if it rains, I am going to be heartbroken! The weather is so unpredictable in the Midwest!
