I found these invites at Michaels and knew they would be perfect. Now that they are completed and mailed, I thought I would share a few words of wisdom with you:
1.) TAKE THEM TO KINKOS. I've talked to many other brides who have used these kits, and like me, they had HORRIBLE problems printing them at home. We fought for HOURS with margins and page sizes, until we finally gave up and took them to Kinkos. Best decision we ever made! It cost me about 10 dollars to print all 150 invites and reception/direction cards.
2.) Use an outer envelope. My mom suggested we get outer envelopes, because although the seals are cute, they tend to "un-stick" easily and she was afraid cards would get lost in the mail. We ended up buying black linen outer envelopes, and they work great!
love to see ur ideas =0)
xo
the ribbons are a pain in the ass to tie! we took the double stick tabs and put 2 on each side to keep it in place, on the envelopes.
we had problems printing address on the return envelopes. and we got rid of those ribbons, and they look (imo) way better.
that kinkos idea is a good one though. i should do that for the addresses.
Like hellodara I had to drive a hour to next nearest Micheal's to get 3 more packs of chocolate programs. What a pain but well worth it!
I read your post awhile back (i have the same invites)
I liked your idea about going to kinkos..
well i'm a lil upset. i just got back from my local kinkos and i told them what i needed to do and they said that the paper has to be 8 1/2 X 11. that the small paper won't go through their pinter!! UGH!!! so how did you get them to do it???
Fill a bride in please :-D
