Cake made by groom's sister for other wedding |
Cake
A Darn Good One, Too
So I dont have any pictures of what our cake is going to look like, but I will include a picture of a cake that was done by the same person. It is important to both Ben and I that the cake is chocolate and that it tastes really good. I dont really care what it looks like. So what if brown does not match my wedding colors! So what if it is simple in design!
We are hiring Bens older sister, who took a cake decorating class, and who also makes a divine chocolate cake. Its going to be chocolate, with chocolate fudge filling, with chocolate frosting. Im tired of going to weddings where the cake is absolutely gorgeous, and you can tell a lot of money was spent on it, yet the actual cake is either disgusting or just okay. Not my cake! My cake topper is Mickey and Minnie. I really like the Lenox one, but at minimum it was $50. Besides, my dear fiancé picked this one out! He had an opinion! So we got it. Its been sitting on my bookshelf since February, our last trip to Disneyland. I also found (and subsequently purchased) a few boxes of Mickey head candy confetti in none other than my colors, red, white, and black. If the cake maker so chooses, she can use these for decorating. Otherwise, well find some other use for them (who says they need to be eaten?) I debated on adding real red roses, but as youll soon see from my flower post, red roses are rather pricey, and since nobody REALLY cares about what the cake looks like, I decided to pass. |
