Hmmm here are some ideas I thought were pretty neat.

What ever we do, I want a light blue shimmery cardstock type of paper and on top have matte white paper with the printed menu items. Depending on what we do...we possibly have vellum for the see thru sections and of course see thru subtle sparkly ribbon for the heart buckle slider at top underneath our "monogram". It sounds tacky putting all these things together but it'll be beautiful!

So I already have my shoes for the wedding, but I couldn't help but share this with you guys...

I'm still debating between if i want them to wear white or light blue like my bms. Those were the only two places that I saw that sold really nice thiep cuoi (wedding invitations) they do 1/2 viet & 1/2 english for the invitations and so that was pretty sweet.

I was wondering if i should go:

and you know it's one of those things where it hits you.. you know that's the one.. and these invitations were it. Not sure how much they are charging but I'm going with tuongnguyen.com and his invites b/c they convey a much more modern look and feel plus he will probably send us samples of what could be.....=)

i think theses are SUPER adorable. Since me and mike are disney freaks, we kinda wanted to get this....... what do you guys think?? I have no clue where else these are sold. i found them on ebay... auction ended *sigh*... so sad...

I looked at SOO many photographers out there and i realized that photographers cost $$$$$$ lol. We had a person in mind, but that vendor kinda "jipped" us on the services for the amount of money we were going to give him. Plus he lived in Canada so that was double the money to ship him to the states, provide accomodations for him and worry about him getting from one place to another. So we dropped him and found a new vendor that we absolutely were VERY pleased with.

We chose Edward Fox Photography. We were very impressed with the quality of pictures, the quality of the albums, the people are very nice, always keep us in track and the BEST OF ALL...A PAYMENT PLAN... we didn't have to pay $3875 before the wedding which was awesome. and in our package.. (i can't rmemeber it all) but there's an engagment session, a mini flush mount album which is a mini clone of our to be albums in which either sets of parents can choose and add more pictures to, and they're generously giving us 2 photographers for the price of 1. so that means MORE PICTURES TO CHOOSE FROM since our wedding is huge!! i tell you.. 400+ people is reallly huge.. we're gonna need a bunch of coverage ahah.. and there's a bunch more stuff .. i don't have the paperwork in front of me... check them out!

Since i'm wearing a traditional ao dai and a wedding gown. i think i'm going to alternate my hair style from 1/2 up and down for the wedding ceremony to all up for the traditional because of that big crown...

well when i think of september i think of earthy colors which reallllly don't do anythingfor my fairy tale themed wedding. well i talked to the church florist and she was verrrry reasonable. Not only will she be doing the bouquest, boutinierres, corsages, pins and all.. she's gonna decorate the candle poles and altar in church, the doors to the gym (arches, flowers and all), the head table, the cake table, the guestbook/signin table, and centerpieces all for $1700! I couldn't resist. and she's verrrry flexible I love her.

yeh, so i tried looking for SOOO many places, but for the big wedding I had in mind, I didn't really feel like dishing out 10k for just renting a hall with no food. SO i went the other way around. At the church, there's a gym and yeh, we're gonna use the gym. It can fit 600 people in there and I can put my own decorations and serve my own food. So i thought that was better route for us.

Our hall decorator lady gave us some design concepts so hopefully it'll turn into one of these beautiful images. I love draping but I realize that it's gonna cost SOOO mcuh $$$ so one way of still using the draping but not paying an arm and a leg for the fabric is to hang the fabric from a clear fishing line. you'll use less fabric and get the effect you want for a much more reasonable price. what woulda cost me $1500 is now only $700. you gotta save money where you can right?!?!?

I have a princess canopy hanging from fishing lines from the tall ceilings and two sets of large balloons hanging from each side of the stage that will be draped in union with the princess canopy. it'll be pretty =)

this was harder than I thought. We had sooo many ideas of where we were gonna go on a budget. So ironically in between hong kong or paris, we decided on a disney cruise! yup.. 4 nights on land and 3 nights at sea woo hoo! I'm verrrry excited about this because I've never been a cruise before and I LOVE DISNEY to death. I can't wait cuz i really wanna try out Toy Story Mania lol. and also be on a beach for once. Milwaukee weather sucks AHHA

So we initially started with a bow tie and tails.... to get a feel for that prince charming look.. but that look didn't reallly suite mike at all.  So we tried again and this time we got a 2 button notch jacket and euro tie instead. and he'll be wearing white vest and white tie while his groomsmen will be wearing light blue vests and light blue ties. Since i'm Vietnamese, I should probably go with tradition somewhere and wear a tradional vietamese wedding gown. i have a few picked out....

so i know it's late in the game cuz i only have like 3 more months but it's OK. tee hee. Well my fiance did well. He proposed to me on the day of his birthday .. which threw me off.. just when i thought it's all about him. he gets down on one knee.. one hand holding a glass slipper and the other the ring..and of course the first thing that came out of my mouth was "what are you doing?" lol soo slow sometimes but it happened and we were SOOO happy. And i honestly thought i was gonna throw up cuz i was that happy. =)
