We are eloping...
So excited
Hello FB, well Eric and I decided to elope. We both agreed that it is the right thing to do considering we are really tight on funds at the moment. I got my dress and ordered my shoes. For our five year anniversary we are going to renew our vows and have the wedding that I always wanted. Thank you everyone for your advice and sharing your ideas.

We Booked Our Ceremony and Reception Site
It's all coming together
Hello Ladies, I am so excited, it's 18 months (almost 17) until the wedding and it feels nice to have all the hard planning coming together. Lately I have been extremely busy working two jobs, and it just seemed that I was negelecting the wedding planning. But so far Eric and I have booked the minister (he is great and very easy going with a soothing voice), and we have booked our site. Next week we are meeting with the wedding planner (We will feel a lot less stress if we have someone on our side who actually knows what she is doing), then we are meeting with the DJ, and with the photographer and videographer. It feels nice to tick things off the list. Even Eric's mom is complimenting us on how on top of things and organized we are. But ladies I have more planning to do (non-wedding related), it is my 21st birthday in less than a week so I want to make sure everything is falling into place. Take care.

Ask a Question
Not so much of daddy's little girl
Hello Brides, I am about to release a whole bunch of baggage and then ask the question. Pretty much I don't really have a father, he is still alive but he doesn't make an effort to be a part of mine. My parents divorced when I was 8, and my dad got custody of me. When I was 15 I moved in with my mother because my dad kept her away from me until I was 12. But after I moved in with my mom we haven't had a relationship. I have been with Eric for 4 years, my father has seen us a grand total of 2 times. Once was when I brought Eric to my dads because I wanted to introduce him to the man I love and to get an approval from him (so to speak). The last time I saw him was Nov 7 at my graduation. We haven't talked since then. I put in the effort to talk to him and go see him, but he switches shifts so I never know when he is working. Last year when I called him around this time he blamed me for our relationship for becoming what is was. I take some responsiblity because it is true, we didn't have a phone, I could have called him collect, or go to his place every second weekend (but when your a teenager it seems kind of "lame" to go see your parent). I have lived in the same place for almost 3 years now, he has my phone number, address, and email. But he doesn't call or has never even seen my place. But what bothers me more than anything is that when I told my dad Eric and I were engaged he didn't say congratulations, in fact he didn't say anything, it was just a long akward pause. My question is should I have my dad walk me down the aisle? I realize that I only have one dad and eventually he will be taken for good, but its as if I will have a stranger from my past walking me down towards my future. Is this rude of me?

Stressing out
I have almost had it
Hello fellow brides. I don't know if anybody else is stressing out about money but I have been lately. To me it seems that I am going at this wedding alone, I mean I have been saving money for a bit now and have no contribution for my FH or family towards the wedding fund. I am a little behind with my savings because I was unemployeed for a couple months, but I am getting so upset that I am ready to push my wedding date back or calling it off. Does anybody else feel as if they are going at this wedding alone? I am hoping I am not the only one!

Hello brides, a burning question on my mind I am hoping you can help me with is: How should I tell our guests that children are not allowed to come to the wedding? This might seem harsh but our wedding location is a haven for children to get lost in (its an aboretum). Hope you can help! Thank you.

Some More Problems Coming My Way
Hello brides, I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. So I have been trying to keep up with all the hectic schedules and keeping on top of wedding planning. Yet another problem came my way with my printer. It now won't even print, so I am having a new printer coming. It is extremely frustrating, especially because I have so much work on the computer, plus the wedding DIYs. I hope the new printer works even better than my last one! *fingers crossed*

White Magnets Not Working Out GRR!
Since we do not have engagement photos yet, I was testing this picture out because it's one of my favourites.
Not very good, there is green and yellow lines through our faces.

Magnets Not Working Out
GRR!
Well yesterday I went and purchased some magnet sheets to do the DIY save the date magnets. It didn't turn out right at all, the picture has lines through it. So after being a little frustrated and even more disappointed Eric and I decided it would be best to order them. Ordering the magnets is less than $100, something that I wish I could make them for cheaper, but they look like crap! I rather pay for quality rather than be cost effecient and it look horrible. I may try again on a different printer to see if it turns out, which I have my fingers crossed it does! And yes the printer was on photo quality, I guess I invested in a crappy printer lol.

White The List Keeps On Growing! DIY Projects

The List Keeps On Growing!
DIY Projects
I realize my wedding date is a bit away, but time flies! I have been engaged for two years now and I was never the girl to dream about her perfect day until he popped the question. As the days count down I realize all the things that I will be creating. So far I have pillow cases for the chairs to make, the aisle runner, the invitations, the card box, the reply cards, map cards, table numbers, chair covers, programs, the menu cards, place cards, cds, and champagne flutes and wine bottle labels. This is all I can think of at the moment- its a pretty extensive list. I'm really nervous about being able to complete all these tasks, planning the wedding, and working. I just hope I didn't bite off more then I can chew!

Hello future brides! I want to say congratulations to everyone, I am new to the site, and I am on a very restricted budget. Could you let me know some DYI projects that are very inexpencive? I'm not that artistic but I am willing to try anything. Thank you in advance!
