So on Saturday a few of my bridesmaids came over and helped me tackle our save the dates... and I love them!
I bought my cardstock for PaperandMore.com love the quality and price compared to other sites.
I made a template before the girls came over. Marcie traced the envelope template on 12x12 black card stock while Megan cut them out. (Megan is 9 months prego... and due in less than a week!!!!) I used the large paper cutter to cut everything.. the photostrips printed from costco, the white printed cardstock and green cardstock. Carolyn was taking the photo strips I cut out and attaching them to the self stick magnets I bought off ebay.
I also made little pictures of our new house with the address on them, and that is glued on the back side of the inner envelope. I still need to make a seal for the closed inner envelope. I'll post once I finish :)
I googled for save the date poems and put two together to say this...
It stil may be early, but we hope you're delighted,
Because we've set a date, and we're very excited.
In the month of November, our vows will be made,
Saturday the 20th, is the day to be saved.
So here is a magnet for you to post,
To remember the day, we will treasure most!
The magnets are held onto the white paper with little black photo corners :)
Whatcha think???
$0.78 EACH IN THE US.. I SENT ONE TO ENGLAND... 2.58
We took these pictures last night, and I constructed our SAVE THE DATES!!!! I'm using trusty old COSTCO! Same as I did for our engagement announcements :) you get 50 photo cards 6" x 7.5" for 15.95! So I used Power Point, since I don't have photoshop.. and I'm printing two of these photo strips and two small.. change of address notes on each sheet.. so I'll have 100 save the dates and 100 change of addys! I wanted the photostrips since we're having a photobooth at the wedding, but I wanted them more personal so this is what we came up with :) I was going to print them on magnet paper, but decided to buy adhesive magnet sheets off ebay and attach them to the photo paper for a better looking picture.
Actually I ended up purchasing photoshop b/c my powerpoint wasn't allowing me to save to a format Cosco would print.. I kept getting an error.
I found alot of different people selling magnets online, you just to have to play around after you make your file in whichever program you use, to find a size that you can fit the most strips on and will be most cost effective. I went on my ebay acct. and b/c I purchased them so long ago, I can't figure out what their name was :( Hope this helps :)
