My Tea Party Issues.
I want to have an afternoon tea party wedding, nothing conventional or anything like that. But I'm still frustrated with what I should do for colours and cake.

The venue is this gorgeous old historical garden home that I love, so all the flowers will be there and decorations might just be some large white circular balloons and mis matched teapots as center pieces.

But the colour scheme alludes me still. Dove Grey and creamy yellow? Soft, earthy green? I have no clue. Help!

I love the playfulness of the Mad Hatter tea party, but I'm not sure. Eat Me. Drink Me. Sounds like us, actually. lol

I'm also doing a tea party theme reception!! I made a post about what I'd like to do...check out my blog. I'm actually getting married about a month before you...so maybe we can plan this together.
;-)

I'd say lighter pastel colors will work nicely. I like the creamy yellow and earthy green. Those will especially work nicely in the late spring.

I'm planning on hitting goodwill and garage sales for some interesting teapot centerpieces and cute little tea cups.  Let me know what you find!

I like the first picture with the soft colors, but at the same time I would want to stray away from all pastels because it reminds me of Easter colors! But, I still like that picture best!

I think it's a super cute idea!  A neighbor of my parents is helping planning her daughter's wedding, and they are having a tea party themed wedding.  They are in the process right now of hitting up garage sales for antique tea pots to have as centerpieces.  They're planting some sort of plant of flower in the tea pot, and then people can bring them home after if they want.

I like the idea of the light yellow and green (I'm biased because they're my colors!), and throwing some pink in there too.  I think it's a great idea!

For cake, I like the little cakes.  Each table can have their own mini cake or something, like a tea party!  Good luck!

I love the theme!  I am a fan of gray & yellow.  It blends very nice together & you really dont see it duplicated in lots of weddings.  Good Luck!
