Wedding Music And Songs
I'm a bonafide music geek :)
Just thinking of some of the songs i want played at the
reception (and yes, i will prob need all of the next 16 mos to do this lol) . Its so hard to narrow down the list, but i know i do want some indie/alternative, some 80's, some old school hip-hop, awesome booty shaking stuff , maybe even a little classic rock thrown in for good measure . I adore garden weddings!
My dream is to have an outdoor garden wedding! To me there is nothing more beautiful! Still looking for that perfect venue in texas :) It has been hard to find with our budget, but i'm determined to make this happen!

Thanks to meme2138 for selling me her welcome bucket (i will prob use for bubbles) and 5 birdcages for $43 (includes shipping!) very generous of her to let them go for such a deal! I adore her shabby chic theme and yes.. i have finally decided to do shabby chic for my theme too! Yay!! It's so nice to be a part of such a wonderful community of women that are there to help each other out with creative ideas, advice, kind words and even a deal or two ;)

Wedding Favors
Charitable donation, good idea?
Don't get me wrong... i have seen tons of really creative and cute favor ideas out there, but the more i think about it the less i want to spend money on something that will get left behind or end up in a junk drawer somewhere!
My FH doesn't drink at all and i haven't since my bday in january so alcohol related favors (shot glasses, coozies etc.) just really aren't something for us. Sooo... i have been contemplating printing out cards for our guests that say we have made a charitable donation in their honor in lieu of favors. Has anyone gotten these at a wedding they've attended? How did u feel about it? I personally feel better knowing my hard earned money will go towards someone in need and i would hope others would feel the same. I welcome your thoughts ladies :) |

Our wedding colors
I can't make up my mind! Help!
I first started out thinking i wanted the peacock colors (teal, purple and lime green) and now i'm leaning towards tomato red and turquoise! I have a little ways to go in the planning process but i feel like i can't really start anything till i figure this out. We are having a fall wedding but i hate fall colors (orange, yellow and brown). Would it be strange to have bright off season colors? has anyone else had a hard time deciding?

Wedding Favors
I want something unique!
So i'm really wanting some unique, fun and fairly inexpensive wedding favors.... something our guests will actually use and enjoy. I have found some things i really like but are not really in my budget. And i'm totally willing to make my own favors :) anyone have any good ideas? (we are prob expecting about 100 guests)

Our website is up!
I'm having so much fun working on our wedding website! I decided to use mywedding.com after recommendation from other brides, and so far so good :) I love that it lets us add music to it because my FH and i are music nuts :) He seemed to enjoy giving me ideas (and even helped me pick the layout which is surprisingly pink!) I am on our bridal party right now, adding each person's nickname after their real name and using fun pics of them :) We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family to stand up with us to confirm our love , just had to share ????
