Engagement Photos

I don't think there's really a set time limit, it just depends on when and why you want them done. You can get them done right after you become engaged, or right before your wedding.... Reasons people get them done early is for save the dates (if sending and putting a picture on them) and engagement announcements for the newspapers. Some people can wait a little longer if they only want pictures for their personal use, framed at the wedding, or in a slide show at the wedding.

We took ours in this past May (wedding is in March 09) because the weather was nice and we weren't too hot/cold trying to take pictures. We also needed pictures done in enough time to place an order for our save the dates and to pick a picture for our couple's newsletter, & wedding website to announce our engagement.

We had so much fun the last time, we'd like to take some jazzy evening photos uptown for our own collection...we'll see.

My wedding is in Spring (May 09) and we're taking our pictures this September.

we are getting married august of 09 but we are getting our engagment pics takin this august or september for 2 reasons number one we live in seattle so thats the nicest time before our wedding to get them done and 2 we wanna use them for our save the date magnets which we are sending out in january

Im not getting married until july 09 and i am taking them this summer. Mostly because i want to get them done out side, I think it depends on where u live. i live in Ontario canada and honestly the spring is to cold and the fall is to short and i would dare dream of taking pics out side in the snow. Plus since we are getting married in the summer i thought it would be nice to have our pics takin in the summer in the place we plan on getting married. I dont think there is a time limit.. I think its totally up to you and you future hubby!
