i've been hearing from people in my family that if someone wears black to a wedding they are making a statement that they do not agree with the marriage??
is this true....?
i'm kinda sad cuz i really wanted my bridesmaids to wear ALL BLACK with fuschia pumps [[ like me...hehe =) ]]
but i hear a lot of comments from certain people &it really puts a pour on my parade..... =(
i try not to care what they think or say cuz ultimately it is
MY choice, but i hate hearing negative things bout my planning/vision and i'm sad.....
any suggestions??

BTW....thought this was a little humorous...
i work in a hospital and BM here is an abbreviation for
Bowel Movement...
hahah a little silly, but i read a few blogs and saw
"my BM's are the best bcuz.....etc.etc.."
i was like did i just read that right? lol
then i connected the two...BridesMaids..
ohhhh!

I think that black is a great choice for bridesmaid dresses!  Elegant and timeless, and best of all, they may be able to wear the dresses again!  Also, Save The Date cards.......... I have read several blogs saying, "I got my STD's today!" that one makes me laugh too........... :D

I've never heard that...maybe if the guests wear black but that's not really anything you can control.
I say this day in age, black is a timeless color and always looks sharp. GO FOR WHAT YOU WANT - the fushia pumps will be adorable!!!!!!

plus mostly everyone wore black b/c it's slimfitting...now how would you feel if someone showed up in white like someone did for mine...I seen it and didn't care!

I was planning on having my bridesmaid wear black also....I think that the people that are saying these things (like if someone wears black they disagree with the wedding) must still live in the 50's....considering everyone looks good in black more and more people are wearing it without a thought to how it may come across....dont worry....have the girls wear black and they will look fabulous

DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY... i almost thought i wasnt going to get away with black b/c my fiance thought that it was a funeral color too! but some of my bridesmaid are a little on the heavy side i thought that it would slim them down. I was doing this not only for them but for my pictures! i got there dresses from fredricks of hollywood and they only paid $80 for their dresses! they love them and so do i! good luck!

soooo not true.... and if it really bothers you... dont change the dresses just accessorize with a little fuschia like a sash or bright showey jewerly..... its your day dont let anyone rain on your parade... the old aunts grandmothers and the mothers wore all white.... (even if they werent virtuous and Pure lol) so why the hell shouldn't the brides of our gen... get to be different... when they see how happy you are they'll forget all about funerals and bad luck bs because other than helping dress throwing the Bchlet. party and bridal showers... The BM's are there to make us look Good!and what contrasts better with white and brights than Black?
i say Do it Up!!!! and in this case go black and dont come back!
