Its been SOOO Long
Here it is
So, i konw that Joe and i got married about 30 days ago and i took so long to add some pics and let everyone know how the day went but we were so busy and i started a new job and stuff that i am finally getting the time.
The day went very well for the most part. I got up early and went with my sisters and my best friend to get our hair done which took a little longer than it was suppose to so we were like 10 minutes late getting to the park to take pictures.. While we were at the park taking pictures (now mind you all these next things happned before the ceremony) My niece got nail polish on her white dress.. my best friends daughter closed her dress in the car door and got black all over the bottom and my nephew fell in the mud puddle. But i was happy because it was October 12 and 74!!! degrees... So great! The ceremony was great and my nephew tried to trip my neice walking up the asile.. lol... The only other bad thing that happened was after we were introduced Joe stepped on the back of my dress and ripped the button off for my bustle and my dress was messed up.. But my MOH to the rescue.. Katie sewed on another button that lasted a whole 30 minutes before a guy from work did the same thing so i just figured it was not meant to be bustled and left it... Everyone had a great time dancing and we even did the Cha Cha slide for the wedding party dance so everyone was not so akward with the people they didn't know... I will tell you tho the hall messed up alot of stuff and i actually had to write a formal letter asking for the gratuity back because i felt they didn't earn it... The girl that made my cake was told to be there by a 1130 and when she got there no one was there and when she did get there the lady complained because it as too much cake because i got a surprise grooms cake for Joe and i didn't think that mattered cause all i did was pay to use the hall and their food certainly not for her opinons.. then the ceremony started 10 minutes late cause she was inside still setting up the place cards... and when we were outside she was very nasty to my sister.. they didn't play the right song when i walked back up the asile with Joe cause there DJ does not come til after dinner the lady had to do it.. and she F'd everything up... I made special favors for the kids that she didnt put out and she told my sister she ran out of time and she would get to it.. i wanted to punch her.. the lady.. lol... and t hen when we took pics she rushed us to be introduced and she did it to the wrong song cause again their DJ was not here and she didin't know... and apprently she talked down to alot of family and friends and was very nasty when we were not around... the venue was beautiful but the lady was a bitch.. sorry for my language.. BUT other than that all was ok....the reception ended at 9 pm and by the time we got home and finished packing it was 1 am and we had to be to the airport by 5... we went to vegas....had an amazing time.. even won a little bit... But thats all so far.. and i get to plan all over again.. well help because my sister is now engaed and getting married Aug 28 09 and my BFF is suppose to get married next Dec... Nice.. :) |

Wedding Hair Style
Did my practice UP DO yesteday...
When i went to the place to have it done i had no clue as to what i wanted execpt bigger and full cause i am wearing no veil... And because my hair is so long, straight and thick she suggested pinned curls which i knew i wanted anyway cause i like the look.. so this is what she came up with.. and it will only cost me 40 to have done... the headpiece is my borrowed from my sister... she wore it for hers....

Please help me.. :)
So Je and I are gettting married in what 24 days now? And we still have alot to do. I just finalized cake stuf with the girl yesterday.. and we still have to meet with the photographer and DJ.. Blah.. and i only say Blah cause we are havinig alot of issues with music... We have some picked and some suggestions but i still havent received an idea where i was like YES thats it.. so i am asking for some help for ideas...this is what he have so far and the ideas we have.. and help me please with ideas...
Our first Dance- When you know (Shawn Colvin) This is definate Dance with Dad- Angel in my arms ( Jack Kapanka) Definate Dance with Mom- My Wish (Rascal Flatts) Definate Walk with my Dad down the aisle- pachabels Canon in D ( I THINK?? ) TO walk back with Joe- Weve only just begun? (Not definate, idea it was what my parents walked back to?) Cake cutting - No song yet.. Garter removal- Hot Stuff Bouquet Toss- This ones for the girls Garter Toss- ???????????? Garter on girl who catches bouquet- Sexual Healing??? The only ones we know for sure are the first 3... Please help!! Also i have my practice up do Friday.. and still don't know what to do.. i have hair thats mid length down my back.. and wearing no veil but i am sure i want it all up.. can someone please give me an idea...or i might just pull it all out!! :) THANKS! |

I think I may loose my mind...
27 days to go and...
I feel like i have so much to do. The last week has been hectic with work and such and i feel like everything won't come together.
This whole mess started 2 weeks ago when my sister went to have my 3 year old nephew fitted for his tux and they told her it would be 105 dollars!! i almost had a stroke. Joe and I chose after hours formal wear for our tuxs and they orginally told us patrick would be free. When after hours was bought out by mens wearhouse eveything went down hill. When we went to check on the bridal party they had deleted everyone out of the computer that was not fitted and since it was still 6 months before Joe was the only one still in. Then they vest style I finally decided on they got rid of and didnt even tell me and then the stuff with my nephew tux... So we switched toTuxedo Junction, which is what we should have done from the begining. We went to the Tux place and told the guy i wanted the money back from everyones depositrs and all their sizes cause were switching places. The guy never asked why and was very rude. He told us everyone payed with Debit or Cash except my younger nephews and Joes one brother and he would credit their cards back. When we got to tuxedo junction they were closing at 6, it was 545 and the very nice man stayed there til 630 fixing everything and putting every one in the computer. Then he found out Joes sizes were in as his one brothers from washington and Andrews sizes were not even there any more and everyones outseams mysteriously disappered? Really whatever.. So finally eveyone is all set and good to go! Then Joe and I were having issues with a drain in the basement and after many attempts to fix it our selves we had to go call roto rooter to fix it 226 dollars later.. is alot when your paying for your whole wedding... Yuck.. Then i had issues finding someone to do my hair cause most salons or spas are closed on Sundays.. outstanding. Well my sister called a lady my ex sister n law worked for and owns a salon, the lady is closed Sundays but as long as its a group of 3 or more she will open the salon for just us !! I am so happy. .. and my practice up do is this Friday and i stil don't know what to do with my hair.. i finaly got around to dying my hair 4 days ago.. I also just got Joe to decide on what to get his bros for being in the wedding cause he wanted to get them somethin they would use but no forget.. Andrew is going to be deployed here shortly so Joe bought him the new IPOD touch, and decided on nice pocket watches for his brothers... And now i just feel like i have so much to do i still need music for like half oft the wedding stuff... just made my card box.. still have favors to do, present to wrap... finish discussing cakes and flowers my head might pop... Egh.. The only great thing that happened was last week was my last drill in the New York Army Guard, and my last official day is wednesday.. did 9 years and 9 days.. did a tour in Iraq and for 9-11.. but i am done now, and can enjoy life with my hubby (to be) |

DIY Wedding
WISHING WELL...CARD BOX.....
I am so happy with the way this turned out. This is our wishing well/card box for the wedding. Joe and i bought a treasure chest like unfinished box from AC Moore.. Joe was staining all the wood work for the house anyway, so i had him stain this its oak color. And then i bought fake leaves, small orange and peach daises and some smaller fall colored flowers. I picked out a nice pretty fall ribbon as well. Just glued the ribbon all around, and then places the flowers where i wanted with hot glue. Joe wanted to lock the box, so the leaves conviently hid the lock on the left side...and he used his dremel to cut the hole in front for the cards... what do you all think? This is my FAVORITE THING.. Yeah!

SHOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love my "Father of the Bride SHOES!"
So i had decided when i was like 12 that when i got married i wanted my moms cousin to make my shoes. Yes i know that sounds weird but shes a seamstress and i saw what she did when she made my cousins communion gown and veil. So i mailed her just plain white shoes and she "Father of the Brided" them... I love them.. She tea dyed them so they are not white, she decorated them with stones and put big ribbon laces in which she attached lighst to that i can twist on when i wear them if i want my feet to glow.. Haha.. she also pained the bottoms white and wrote on the bottom of them Mine and my FH names with my new last name and the date.. They are awesome and i know you may be thinking i am nuts but i do not wear heels everyday and my feet always hurt and then can't dance etc.. so instead of the later i picked these so i can be happy and have fun and dance the night away me and my new hubby!!

DIY Wedding
Pens for Guest Book..
So when Joe and I purchased our "Guest Book" It didn't come with pens because we didn't use a traditional guest book.. We bought he "Wishing well" instead... see post below.
I wanted nice pens for it but refuse to spend 30 bucks on a pen for a day.. i went to the dollar store and got pens a pack of ten acutually.. went to AC Moore and got 2 fake roses one ivory and one peach (the roses in my bouquet) and floral tape.. I cut the steam of the roses the same as the pens and attached the roses with floral tape up the stem so the pen was green.. and now i have 2 pens that look like roses and pretty but each cost me 1.50 to make!! What you think? |

Bridal Shower!
Today was my shower, and it was fun...
Today was my shower that was thrown by my wedding party, but mostly by my MOH who is my oldest sister. I had a great time. They played BINGO, they were given a blank card and had to write down 24 things they thought i would get and then as i opened my presents they marked it off and their card and if they got BINGO and yelled it they receievd a prize. They also had to write down "FOND" memories of either me, My FH or us together share them.. i got the card and they got a gift. I recieved alot of things i wanted plus more.. It was great! I will post pictures later this week.. the guy who is doing the photography for the wedding was there and taking pictures so when they come back this week i will post them... so everyone can see... But all in all it was great and FUN... i think the only downside was that apprently 2 of the people is my FH family talked about how things could have been better and how things should have been done, but no one offered to help my family except Joes Mom and Aunt. And they talked about how when my sister had everyone fill out the Thank you envelopes with their address that i would mail to them they had a fit. Its not like we were like hey fill this out cause i am so lazy i can't. We used them to draw names for prizes... i hate how poeple can do that... it makes me mad.... But otherwise good day!

DIY Wedding
Wedding Invitations
So these are our invitations. Joe and I bought them AC Moore. We were gonna buy them but i decided i don't want to spend that much money on them... So Joe made another layout for our invitation other then the one that came with the box and added the leaf in the back round behind the wording. I found the wording on a website to suite the fall season to make it perfect. The response card goes in the bottom with the envelope and then added a few large confetti leaves in the middle and then we seal them with the leaf stickers! Its nice... What do you all think???

Childrens Favors
So cute!
So i was having a hard time trying to figure out what i wanted to do for the children that were gonna be at my wedding. Most of them are my nieces and nephews ages 1-9, and then two other are my FH cousins who are 2 and 1. So i went on the oriential trading company website and got these. They also sell them in packages that you have to put together with toys and bears. But i didn't like those. I have other little things to put in them... plus they can have the candy i am giving everyone else... I thought it was cute. The boxes were 3.95 for 12 and the books were 4.95 for 12... cute!
