Ok so its not red...but it is the one i wanted

So as you can see in my earlier posts i wanted this dress like nothing else. I settled and bought a dress because it was cheap and i thought i would be ok with it but ever time i saw a pic of this dress i would get all upset and hate the dress i bought. Still with a $1300.00 price tag i really could not buy it!

I brought my bridesmaid dress shopping with me to pick bridesmaid dresses. When we got there (Vals Bridal in courtice) I notice that they are having a huge sale, so i thought what the hell i'll see if my dream dress is still in the store. I looked in the maggie Sottero section and it was not there. So i got a little mopey! So I looked at other dresses my bridesmaid made me pick a couple sale ones to try on for fun.

Then we went to the little clerance room that they have and looked in there. The first dress i looked at was it. My dream dress was marked down to $500.00. My bridesmaid scooped it up and practically ran to a change room. She helped me get into it...(corset back)

It fit like it was made for me...right off the rack. Then i got even more disappointed, i cant justify buying another dress, there is still too much to pay for. So, crestfallen i took it off, got dressed and started looking at bridesmaid dresses. I found a couple i liked and went to look for Heidi (my bridesmaid) and there she was credit card in one hand my dress in the other. She bought me my dress! All she said was its too prefect to put back. My god i cant believe i not only have the man of my dreams but now i have the dress of my dreams as well! :)

Wow that dress was made for you! People say the same thing about me and my Maggie dress. Yay for another Maggie bride! I'd definitely pay back your bridesmaid as soon as you can. $500 is a lot of money! Plus she's paying interest on it.

She really is the best...its my wedding present...so i will just have to start saving now to buy her something fab for when she decides to get married. And thanks for all the nice comments. :)

wow---$500 for that dress! That is amazing--what a sweet bridesmaid! It looks great in white as it does red. I just bought mine today in red....except mine doens't have the lace in the back of the train. I paid a bit more than $500! You look beautiful! And what an awesome friend who knew how much it meant to you. She is surely a keeper for life. You are blessed to have those who care about you in your life YAY for getting your dream dress! :-) Perhaps I'm a little bias since I'm ordering the same style except red...but I LOVE it. :-)

WOW! What a nice friend/bridesmaid! (I'm having a hard time just getting my sister to buy/pick her OWN dress..haha I told her she could literally pick ANY dress she wants...well as long as it's red!) i checked w/ a bridal store here, price quoted for same dress was $1340 w/ lace train & $1060 w plain taffeta train.

Just a thought but why dont you trim the ribbon so that it doesnt hang over. that way it will work on a round table. it looks amazing!
