The Wedding Was Fabulous!
Hi Everyone!
I just arrived home from a most needed relaxing honeymoon with my new husband! Yay! We went to Aruba and Curacao and it was amazing! Now that all this wedding stuff is over... I don't know what to do with my time! I am so proud that I designed my wedding myself. It was a labor of love. Attached are some photos of how it all came together. Enjoy! |

Table Linens
Loco for Linens!
I was bored today, and decided that I need table linens! Were they in the budget? Nope! But... after watching countless hours of WE TV wedding shows, I convinced myself that I had to have them! After seeing several options, I decided on silver pintuck linen, with white napkins (provided by the venue) and a gorgeous aubergine napkin holder. I also purchased silver charger plates from Koyalwholesale.com for about $1.25 before tax and shipping.

Shoes.... Check!
I've been searching EVERYWHERE for my wedding shoes. Initially, I wanted these gorgeous Christie Lous (Christian Louboutin). However, they were sold out in Aubergine. Luckily! Saved me about $600. I came across these more reasonably priced heels for only $54! Score! I think I'm going to bling them out though! Can't wait for them to arrive from Zappos! They are by RSVP.

Engagement
Engagement Photo Session
Took a while for me to upload the info., but we did take our engagement photos. We had a fabulous time, and used two different photographers. The first and third photos were professionally shot by our wedding photographer. The second and fourth were professionally shot by an up and coming photographer who took our photos free of charge in exchange for portfolio credit.
I don't know how the models do it! Taking photos was like an eight hour workday! Luckily, we had a fabulous time with our photogs! |

Honeymoon
We are headed to Aruba!
So my FH and I have finally decided on a Honeymoon vacay; we're headed to Aruba! We are extremely excited because our goal was to stay out of the hurricane belt. Achieved! Instead of the traditional gift registry, we have decided to ask our guests to contribute to our Honeymoon registry. My FH is wonderful and has taken on the task of making sure that our trip is planned and goes off without a hitch! (Well... we'll be hitched of course!)

Wedding Reception
Me and My BFF Michael!
Well, my best friend's name really isn't Michael, but my new favorite store is! Michael's and I have become very friendly over the last couple days. Just today, I completed a 4 city marathon of clearing out all of the supplies needed for my wedding reception. Yes, I am a do-it-yourselfer! I have had the most difficult time deciding on one centerpiece. There are so many options out there. It just became riddiculous. I am a true BARGAIN shopper. My entire reception decor including flowers will be at about $550 for 12 tables and about 130 guests! I am extremely proud of myself. I wanted something elegant and beautiful. I think I captured that with my centerpieces. What do ya'll think?

Finally found a photographer and videographer!
After months of procrastination, I finally decided to scout out some local photographers and videographers. The abundance of photographers was completely overwhelming; it's like everyone has a camera! Some of the key things that were important to my FH and I were quality, creativity, and of course, cost! We found a great photographer named Daniela Degrassi. I was blown away by her portfolio. My FH and I absolutely love the movie when Harry Met Sally. As a fun addition to our Wedding Website, we thought it would be cool to have someone film our Love Story. We found a super reasonable videographer to do it, and i am SO.... excited! Here's a sample of his work: http://www.vimeo.com/9906333 . He is based out of San Jose, CA i believe. We also lucked out with our engagement photos. I went on Craigslist and found an aspiring photographer who wants to build her portfolio. She is going to do the pics for FREE!!! Score! This will be our opportunity to practice in front of the camera! We are hiring a professional to take Engagement, Ceremony and Reception shots! |
