Josh and I originally wanted to do small jars of homemade jam as our favors, but realized it would be way too time consuming and costly. We had bought pinwheels that will be used as escort cards, and figured we could nix doing a traditional favor, and the pinwheel would double pretty well as favors.
Well my Mom surprised me and had bought huge bags of M&M's and the most adorable little mason jars. They look just like our jars of jelly would have looked like if we did it, and love the cute spin of having M&M's in there instead.
The third picture is of my sister and her son helping. Christopher LOVES helping, and did a pretty good job filling the jars with M&M's.
Of course, I don't have pictures of the finished product, but we covered the tops in small squares of fabric, of course in orange, yellow and green, and tied a small ribbon around it that had a tag with our names and wedding date attached.
Oops, I lied. I do have a picture of the finished product but it was taken on my cell phone - so don't mind the bad quality.
They turned out really cute and I can't wait to see them set out at everyone's table.
