Let Me Ask You A Question...
So does anyone else think that it's too early to plan anything for the wedding? I mean not even 12 months and we've reserved the ceremony and reception site, bought the dress, and working on the bridesmaids dresses. Anyone else think that planning this far ahead is planning too far ahead?

I started planning my wedding 18 months ahead, had my ceremony and reception site booked 12 month ahead.  I felt less stress throughout the planning process because I know I have plenty to time to shop around and enjoy!  One thing to keep in mind though, after you have settled with an item , your dress, for example, don't look around further coz you could almost always find something "better".  Happy planning!!

Nope, not too early.  I started 18mo. out as well.  I live in DC and you had better start early if you want your pick of sites and everything... It's kinda crazy how many sites are booked up a year ahead.  12 months out I have my site and now I can focus on other things with less stress.  I think it's just really smart.

You are worried that you are already too far ahead then you are, to coin the phrase, preaching to the choir. I just got engaged last week and I have already booked my reception site, know my wedding colours and formed my wedding party! I think that you will be super happy and alot less stressed now that you have started out early. Congrats and happy planning!

no way...our wedding isn't until next may and we already have the reception hall, my wedding dress, photographer & officiant. For us it is about having a small budget and starting early so we can pay some of this stuff off during the year. lol all of this is alot of money.

The earlier you plan, the less stress you will have as your wedding day approaches
