So I decided to get another small box and add it to the one I already had and get a little creative....

Romantic & Intimate Winter Weddings
I read up a lot on Winter Weddings. There are many ways to go with this theme. First, a memory...
Every year when the snow comes down, I always hopes it stays around for a while because it's so pretty. The thought of waking up Christmas morning to a winter wonderland outside my window.... Curling up in front of the fire with hot cocoa.... Spiced cookies or cake... Snowflakes, powdered sugar, wintergreen, spearmint, coconut, feathery soft snow, poinsettas, cinnamon, nutmeg, chocolate, eggnog, red green, silver, gold, ornaments, pine, peppermint, spicedrops, the nutcracker...etc What do you think of when you hear the word Winter or Christmas?? If I decide on a Winter wedding, I would try to keep away with Christmas favors or Christmas-related accessories and decorations. Christmas comes once a year, and I think it should be kept seperate from a wedding celebration. The reason I was thinking of having a Winter wedding is because my favorite and only living grandmother's birthday is Deceber 29th. She's in he 80s already, he has emphysema, and she was a smoking for like 60 years!! So I really don't think she'll be around when I finally get married. But I would want to honor her and remember her on my wedding day, so I think getting married on her birthday is a good idea. But on a happier note, one idea I thought was very unique about Winter weddings, is that there can be a cocoa bar (with a little added Kahlua or Schnapps or Bailey's for the adults....yumyum). As for centerpieces, feathers are an option as well as sliver/white plants (I deleted the page that sad what the plant was called), holly, bowls with pine or cinnamon potpourri. |

Wedding Cake
Cake Toppers......Any Future Military Wives??
The Precious Moments toppers because my mom and grandmother always gave me Precious Moments cards, gifts, etc. when I was younger.
The Army Wife topper because my FH has now decided that he wants to go into the army to secure our future.....so we won't struggle financially. I don't know how to feel about it. Everyone in his family and his friends are all for it. My dad says it's a good idea because of the financial benefits and my mom doesn't like the idea. But I don't think anybody's opinion matters as much as his own. For one of the VERY few times in his life, he's doing something because HE wants to do it, not because of someone else making him do it. I'm proud of him for that reason. I asked him how soon he would go in....the answer he had was TWO MONTHS!! I don't know what's gonna happen... Anyway, I guess I need some encouragement. I highly doubt he'll want to get married before he's out of the Army... 3 - 5 years... x_X |

Wedding Flowers
Peonies or Poppies?
I can't decide between peonies or poppies. But at least I've decided on how to arrange the colors.....
My wedding dress will be red. My bouquet will be white. Bridesmaids' dresses will be black. Their bouquets will be red. (My sister Courtney, My cousin Adriane, My best friend Charlotte) Groom and Groomsmen's suits will be white. Their ties will be red. Their boutinniers will be red. (Groom's brother Fred, My brother Eric,Groom's friend Chris) As for the reception tables....black and white table cloths, martini glasses in the center with either the peonies or poppies in them, white and black glitter....sounds lovely to me ^^ |

Dita Von Teese
I've discovered a new obsession. I think Dita is absolutely gorgeous. I want to look like her on my wedding day. To me, she is like the ultimate belle...pure beauty. Also, her style is very close to what I'm looking to incorporate into my wedding. BIZAAR!! I love it.
I think I'm going to have to draw some ideas out for place settings, center pieces, and so on. I'm starting to think I want colored feathers, fake pearls, and BLACK GLITTER....or red lips glitter ^^ If I have a purple wedding dress like in the picture to the left, I was thinking of white flowers as a contrast. I wouldn't want yellow flowers. I guess I could go with red flowers. My mind is running through ideas about the reception tables.....this is the kind of stuff that keeps me up at night because I have a very determined creative mind. Or am I just ADD? LOL and last night, the FH caught me on this site......he smirked and laughed at me. He knows how excited I get about things, so he didn't say anything about it. He'll appreciate all my hard work when the time comes. |

Curvy Couture / Reception Dress???
Just poking around at traditional dresses today...
I like the main picture the best. I especially like the top she's wearing. Are any of you going to be switching into a reception dress?? If so, are you buying one or are you just going to wear a dress you have lying around the house?? |
