HELP!
Water Bottle Labels

Ok ladies..I am running out of DIYs so I am going to do labels for our water bottles...here is where you ladies come in...

I have found the template I am going to use already but I have priced the waterproof labels and they are too expensive...besides most of them will probably throw the bottles away....but it will be a nice favor for those that don't eat candy.

Anywho...How did you waterproof your labels without spending a fortune?

Clear packing tape. It is the same width as the labels.

my sister in law did that for her wedding and she had them laminated and cut them, and then super glued them to the water bottle. but clear packing tape sounds easier. Maybe test them first in some water so u can see if they'll leak.

I hate to say it, but honestly, if you're icing them and they'll be submersed in water, I'd really, really, really recommend that you spring for the waterproof labels.  I paid $30 to have my labels printed on vellum, because I was told that'd make them waterproof.  It didn't.  Then, I tried packing tape, but because the bottles had ridges, water could still get in, and the labels disintegrated again.  Finally, I had them laminated, which cost me . . . wait for it . . . another $60.  We tried to double-stick tape them on, but it didn't hold.  My husband ended up hot gluing and putting elastics around all 200 of them the night before the wedding, and even still, some came off.  Seriously, I'd check out www.labelsbythesheet.com or somewhere like that, if you're going to be getting them very wet at all.
