Selling shoes
So while my wedding went nothing like I have always imagined it would I am so happy in my marriage that none of it matter. I have been told by several women that my wedding takes the cake when it comes to disasters BUT they also the worse the wedding the better the marriage :o) I have since started a gourmet cupcake company and living the good life with my HUSBAND which feels so good to say.
I am selling my Ivory Carmen Coloriffics size 9.5 that I ended up not wearing. I picked up the cutest pair of black Steve Madden sequined flats. The other shoes are so beautiful but my hubby and I are the same height and didn't want to be taller than him in photos. They have never been worn outside, but they have one VERY light toe mark from the first time I put them on. Please let me know if you are interested. |

Wedding Day Fiasco
So my wedding day was a fiasco. It has taken me seriously almost 2 months to be able to look at this site, my wedding photos, my dress or any other wedding related thing. I've been heart broken. Little by little I am able to let go of the bad and fill it with the GREAT. Which is that I am happily married to the most amazing love of my life.
Tomorrow I will post the whole story. Plus I have some great items to sell which have never been used, including my shoes and flutes. I hope that all you new brides out there have the best day ever. P.S. My honeymoon MORE than made up for it. :o) |

Good luck to all you ladies
I am so anxious. I am having trouble breathing and I cry at every little happy moment. We got our marriage license on Friday! WOO!!!! FH keeps saying "Watch out, we are licensed to wed" LOL.
We have a To Do list a million miles long, but I feel confident that it will all work out just fine. FH is out and about getting me a gift for the day of the wedding and I am working on adding action items to our list LOL. Next week I'm getting my nails and toes done and going to the spa with my aunt for a facial and massage. So I think that with that I should be a little more calm :o) Good luck to everyone getting married this weekend as well! |

Wild Night!
So Saturday was my bachelorette party. One of my bridesmaids rented a hotel in San Francisco, she loaded it up with all my favorite alcohol. All of us piled in this adorable room, ordered pizza and got ready together. They dressed me in what I lovingly call the Christmas Tree garb and we walked down the street to this club. It turns out that it was an 80s gay goth club. It was a ton of fun, obviously not your typical bachelorette party but still a blast. I want to go out again with my BFF for some more fun when my honey has his bachelor party.

My Bridal shower was two weeks ago. Sorry ladies, so much to tell but I will start with the shower. It was the most beautiful shower Ive ever attended. When we arrived I was surprised to see how many cars were parked at my aunts house. When we walked in EVERYONE was there. As I started to say my hellos to everyone I walked around the corner into my aunts kitchen and that is when I saw my FMIL. She drove 500 miles to surprise me at my bridal shower. She really is super amazing. It was the best surprise ever! You can clearly see in this uber horrible photo of me how excited I was. All the women that I love the most were there to share that day with me. My amazing bridal party all pitched in and bought me a kitchen aid stand mixer. The BM that organized the whole thing told me later she chose that item b/c when FH and I registered I told her that it was the most expensive item on our registry and I knew no one could afford it. We played some really cute games including one called the Pantry of Love, where the host buys groceries and all the guests have to guess the total cost of all items including tax and the store they were purchased from. The person who is closest in price gets a prize and the bride gets to take home the groceries. The food was spectacular, and it made me feel like a million dollars. It was 104 that day and there was no AC in the house we were at, so we are all a little pink :o) I am so lucky to have so many wonderful people in my life. |

Bridal Party Vent
MIA Best Man and more.
So my FHs BM is his uncle. They are pretty close in age and are best friends. Well his uncle has fallen on some hard times and cant come to the wedding. We have 18 days left to the wedding!!!! I asked him who was going to take his uncles place, and he said Its not like I have a back up best friend. Which I understand but I feel so bad. The part that upsets me is that his uncle is kind of a flake and we had a feeling that it would come down to the wire when he had not purchased tickets a month ago. I have been begging him to buy his tickets for a year. He told us about a week or two ago that he didnt think he could make it, but that he was still working on getting the money. It would cost about $500 for the flight and tux, it would have only cost about $380 a month ago. Ive been researching flights for him on a weekly basis and the price is just going up. I wish that we had the money to fly him out, but we just cant afford it. I am so SAD!
PLUS one of the other groomsmen still has not been fitted for his tux. When FH called him about it last Wednesday he promised that he would have it done by Saturday (two days ago). Well on the following day, he and his wife (my not so great original MOH) left town for a fantasy convention in Atlanta and wont be back until Tuesday. He lied outright to my FH, as they were PACKING for their 5 day vacation while on the phone. On top of all that, when I was trying to pin down the number of flowers I would need for the wedding party, I had to call my original MOH and ask her if her kids were still going to be in the wedding, we noticed that they hadnt been fitted for a tux yet either, and on the phone she said Um hm I dont think so, I dont think we cant afford it. Well now I know why they cant afford it, plane tickets to Atlanta and getting into Dragon Con are very expensive. I paid a ton of money for her destination Disneyland wedding and she has been complaining for the past year about mine. I understand that we are ALL having hard times but she has been so difficult. My BMs all got together to purchase something off my registry for my Bridal Shower (SO SWEET) and I guess the entire time she was emailing everyone complaining about the price, all my BMs were really upset that she acted that way. She still hasnt purchased her shoes for the wedding and texts me once a week asking what I want her do. She is a 45 year old woman I cannot for one moment believe that she has needed this much help in her life to buy shoes. And yesterday I get an email from my FHs ex-wife about the kids tuxedoes; she has decided to take back her offer to pay for the tuxedoes for the boys (2 of them). That is now an extra $300 that we have 18 days to come up with. I feel like my wedding party is falling apart. I dont know what to do. I have a best man who is MIA, a lying groomsman with nothing to wear, a MOH who doesnt really want to be in the wedding and two kids tuxedoes to pay for. Im sorry, I just needed to vent. BM and GM Gifts
All are in and done!
All of our gifts are in and finished. I handmade all of the Bridesmaids gifts and we ordered all of the Groomsmens gifts from Etsy. The GM will be getting personalized cufflinks and the BMs are getting parasols.
GMs: Dario (FBIL) designs computer games so he will get computer keyboard keys with his initials Vincent (FBIL) gambles and plays poker at least twice a week; he will get the playing cards Marc works for the company that owns WOW (World of Warcraft is a computer game) and so he will get the Hearth Stones (the gray stone with a blue swirl) Jo-El is a film director and editor so he will get the film reels Paul is getting married to my BFF in a few weeks and they LOVE squirrels, it will even be their cake topper, and their wedding colors are green and orange, so we had the squirrels specialty made for him Jon dresses up as a storm trooper for charity events and his two favorite things in life are legos and Star Wars so the troopers was an easy call. The parasols took me forever, but Im thinking of making a few extra and selling them on Etsy |

OOT Bags DONE!
Today I finally made my OOT bags. FH was so helpful, he just jumped right in and started putting stickers on the candy, and it was very cute. In the bags we put:
Hersheys Kisses and Hugs Water bottle Crackers Brie Wine or Ginger Ale (for those who dont drink) Plate and Napkin I fancied them up with a little red tinsel and black ribbon and we put a note in each bag with a sweet poem that my FH WROTE himself it made me cry: To our Friends and Family With this note Wed like to say: Thanks for coming All this way To laugh and love And cry and pray And spend with us Our special day. Brandy and Vlad They turned out so amazing. I wish that had done these as our favors LOL. We printed all the labels ourselves. Note to any bride who uses the water bottle labels. If you use Dasani water bottle make sure you place your label below the first bump on the bottle, it is raised higher than the others, and causes wrinkles. We used some of the damask candy buffet bags for the cheese and crackers, and those were hard to close, so if you are trying to tie a cello bag I would also suggest using a wired tie instead of tinsel. Other than that, it was all very easy! Im off to work on our bubble bottles. |

Almost over!
I am feeling bummed about the fact that all of the fun decision making is over with. I am very excited about the wedding day it self, but as far as planning goes, all that is left is executing the last of the details. I am feeling sad about the fact that its almost over. I know that we have this amazing honeymoon and the rest of our lives to plan and be excited for, but I will only get to plan my wedding day once
