Wedding Music And Songs
Help!!!

I grew up listening to The Beatles all the time as my dad is a HUGE fan. I wanted to use Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman for our first dance but then I thought it'd be nice to use a song by The Beatles for my dad.

The problem - I can't find anything I like for a father daughter dance. The words aren't appropriate or the music's to fast.

So ladies do you have any suggestions?

What about "In my Life"? We're using that as our first dance, but I could see it being used as a father daughter dance song too.

When I was a kid, my dad used to sing 'You are my Sunshine' to me... apparently, I hated it and would cry everytime.

Last night I found a really cool version of this song by Ray Charles. If we have a father/daughter dance, this might be the one.

If your dad is a big Beatles fan, I'm sure dancing with you to one of their songs would be a highlight for him. What about 'Across the Universe' -- one of my all-time faves. It's not really a love song so could work. Lately, I'm loving the version from the Across the Universe movie or Fiona Apple's version.

My point was -- a song or band that holds meaning to the two of you may go over much better than some random song with appropriate lyrics.

I'm planning for a Beatles daddy daughter dance too but am also finding it tough to pinpoint a song. If I have any good ideas I'll let you know.

I love all the songs by the Beatles but I’m finding this hard to find the perfect one to dance to with my daddy. My 1st instinct was to dance to Cinderella by Steve Chapman but then I thought it would be nice to pick a Beatles song for my dad. If I can’t find that song I think I’ll stick to Cinderella.
