So I found these shoes at payless for $40. They are the dyeables. I'm thinking about getting these for me. They'd be dyed pink of course! hehe. But they have rhinestones on them which I love! And they don't look to horribly uncomfortable. I'm going to go look at them tonight. I think they're cute and a good price. I'm still trying to decide if I want something flat or something with a heel for my girls.

So..we changed the bridesmaid dresses so I was trying to find a dress from the same designer (alfred angelo) that would be appropriate for my 12 year old junior bridesmaid. So I went to the shop we're going to order the bridesmaid dresses from and was looking at the rack and I just kept coming back to this first dress. I really like it!! I think it would be really nice in the black and white since the bouquets are going to be pink! Plus she'll be able to use it again for dances and stuff. Two of my bridesmaids were like can we wear this dress too! haha.

The other two are the tops my bridesmaids are going to wear. The second one is the one my sister (my MOH) will wear and the other is what the other girls will wear. They will all have black tea length skirts to go with. And I was thinking about black shoes. Either something summery with a small heel or some sort of wedge.

The last dress is the dress I'm thinking about for the flower girl. I feel bad for one of my bridesmaids because her whole family is in our wedding so this is going to get a little expensive for them. She's a bridesmaid, her husbands a groomsman, her sons our ring bearer and her daughter is our flower girl!

So I feel like I'm really falling behind in the wedding planning lately. For so long I was doing so much and now I just don't have time. I'm working two jobs and barely have time to spend with the FH. :( But he understands that we need the money. I'm working 68 hours a week. Hopefully it will just be long enough to get caught up and some stuff paid off.

I saw these really pretty bridesmaid dresses from alfred angelo. They were two piece sets. So I went to the local shop here and she informed me that it takes 4 months to get the dresses in! Thats a long time! I'm also worried about going with them even tho I really like them and all the girls like them because I have girls of every shape and size and once they order these dresses they're stuck with them whether they like the way they look in them or not : / I dno..

So I've figured out with this wedding planning that patience is necessary! I had found some invites a while ago I liked and was almost going to get but I decided I'd wait just a little bit yesterday came across these beautiful invites!!! Well actually I got an email from the company I was going to order the invites from before and these were in it. It was like it was fate! And they're not to bad on price either! Everyones seemed to like them so far so as of right now these are our invtes! I love them!!

So we went home this weekend and had an early Thanksgiving with my family. It was really nice. We ate A LOT! haha.

We also did some craft stuff yesterday. Which was really fun! We set up the tables to figure out exactly how we wanted them and what we needed to get. We decided on white table cloths and some of the tables will have a pink runner with black tulle around the martini glasses we're using as centerpieces and some will have a black runner with pink tulle around the martini glasses. And we got black and white marbles to place around the table too. My mom also got these really pretty bowls (that I can't wait until after the wedding cause we're gunna have lots left over) to put on the tables to put little snacks in. She got them for $1!

I also made up some sample favors we're going to hand out. We're going to use the ribbon with our names on it but the pic is pretty much what they're going to look like. I think they turned out pretty cute!

I also got T-Shirts for the ring bearer and flower girl and made a bag for my flower girl that turned out really cute! I think we got a lot accomplished this weekend. Unfortunatly I only have pics of the favors and the bowl my mom got. I'll try to get more up!

This is the how John and I met and how he asked me. So here goes the complicated story of US!...........

Let me start by saying I’ve lived in Illinois my whole life! Back in 2004 I had met a guy threw a friend I thought this was it, he was the one. We had an awesome summer trying not to think about the fall when he would be moving 2 hours away for school in Indiana. We tried really hard after he left but the distance and not being able to see each other got to us. We broke up and for the next 16 months while he was there we tried on and off to stay together.
Towards the end of the year my boyfriend at the time got a new roommate. Oh and guess who it was! Oh yes, it was John, my FH! We became friends. My friend, Stephanie, who’s boyfriend was also one of the roommates and I, and John would talk and hang out while the other guys were at school or work. We’d even get him to make us breakfast! Well soon school got out me and this “great guy” broke up…for good this time!
The summer of 2006 John and I started texting/calling/emailing and messaging on myspace. We’d talk until the sun came up. I even remember telling my mom one day “oh mom this is the one! You’re going to love him!” and her saying “ya right! If I like him you’ll break up with him” and me saying “Oh no! Not this one!” So FINALLY after talking all summer I came down to Missouri in November to hang out and spend the weekend. From there we knew. He moved to Illinois for a little while but living in a house with the two of us and my best friend just didn’t work out. So back to Missouri he went. Finally in November of 2007 I moved to Missouri.

Now the proposal..for Christmas 2007 John had gotten me the cutest little promise ring (I’m pretty sure to throw me off). We didn’t go home to see my family for Christmas until the weekend after Christmas. Well while my mom, my sister and I were out doing some returning of things, my dad and john were alone at the house and John asked my dad for permission to marry me. Of course my dad said yes and gave him a big fatherly speech. Well a week later back home in Missouri I’m talking to my dad on the phone and he says something about John asking him and how he just can’t believe John hadn’t told me he had given his permission. I hang up with my dad and call my sister and am telling my sister what dad was saying and how he was either being really mean and ruining my surprise or was joking. Well my sister didn’t know what to say and hung up on me!!!!! I text my mom because she was at work and all she text back was “I’ll call you when I get off” so by this time I’m in tears because IT’S TRUE and I know! The bad part was I was going to meet John and when I got there was trying to hide that I had been crying. It didn’t get past him. I told him how my dad had told me and he was a little mad at first but quickly got over it because I still didn’t know when it was coming! My mom ended up calling me later and saying how sorry she was that my dad had ruined it (she had called my dad before calling me and yelled at him!) she said that he thought the promise ring was an engagement ring (which it could of past for one) and that I had told John no until he asked my dad. My parents had already started spreading the word to everyone in Illinois. Silly Daddy!
So January goes by..no ring! February, Valentines Day..no ring. My birthday..no ring. Until Feb 29! We were going out on Friday like we usually do to meet some friends at this little bar that some friends DJ at and have karaoke on Friday nights. I even talked his mom into coming out with us this time. John seemed a little weird. He wasn’t sitting by me. He didn’t get a drink. But I just went on with mingling. A few hours into the night I hear the DJ calling Johns name. I look up and he’s grabbing the mic and walking towards his coat asking for everyone’s attention. He reached into his coat and grabs this little box out and walks over to me. Now I’m sure he was saying some really sweet things about how much he loves me but I couldn’t hear anything. From the second I saw him reach into his coat I was crying and speechless. I couldn’t even get YES to come out of my mouth. Now you may think at a bar? But this was so awesome to me because 1) John is a VERY shy man! His face turns red at anything! So for him to stand up in front of a room full of people, some we knew some we didn’t and do that, was amazing 2) I am not a shy person! He made me speechless for the first time in my entire life! 3) All of our close friends were there to witness it. Not strangers in a nice quiet restaurant. I loved it! Now I know why he didn’t sit by me, he was afraid I would feel the box in is coat and start asking questions (I’m very nosey) and why he wasn’t drinking. A long time ago I had told him if you really mean something I don’t think it takes alcohol to make you say it, so he didn’t want to have a drip of alcohol in his system so I knew he meant every word. <3

I'm such a nerd! I can't decide on anything and I'm making things a whole lot more complicated then they need to be! haha. But I guess thats just me.. :(

This is my newest idea on wedding favors.......

Materials:
Votive candles (which I found 12 for $4.99 at Hobby Lobby)
Azalea personalized ribbon
Black personalized ribbon
Regular Azalea ribbon
Regular Black ribbon
Black wax seals (found the stamper for $4.99 at Michaels)

Layer the ribbon around the candles (regular black ribbon with a personalized Azalea ribbon over it) and sealed (hot glued) with a black wax seal with hearts on it over the ends of the ribbon. And I thought we'd mix it up a bit by switching them with the azalea on top and the black on top for some of them that way they all weren't the same. I really like this idea although its going to take a lot of work (but I have a big wedding party willing to help) I'm worried the wax seal will melt once the candles lit :( We're going to make a few this weekend just as practice and light them to see what happens. I'm not really sure what else to use instead of the wax seal. I want something that isn't going to fall off (like a sticker) so probably something we can hot glue. Any ideas?

I FINALLY finished it! Its really more pink then what this picture shows (if you look back at my other post you can see). But I'm so happy with it! But it took me a long time to decide what I wanted my card box to look like and I'm really happy with the way it turned out. It has rhinestones on the black part that you can't see to well and it says "All because two people fell in love" around it. <3


ALSO........Went cake tasting last weekend. Had A LOT of fun! My parents came down and my dad and John really got into it once they realized there really was cake! And different kinds to try. They were cleaning our plates off! haha. It was cute. I have pics from that I'll post up here too. But we found our bakery. It had great cake and for $200 less then what the other 2 bakeries quoted us!!!!!!! My friend also used them for her wedding and her sisters wedding so I definatly trust them.

So we picked out my band on Friday! I love it. I think it looks perfect with my ring. But I'm trying to decide if I should go with one band or two...one on each side. I really like the look of one on each side. What do you think? I could only find a pic of it with one. So gorgeous!

***ok, I'm saving the second band for something down the road...first anniversary, baby. hehe..I had originally thought about that. The FH is just like "whatever you want hunny" haha. THANK YOU LADIES!!!!!!!

This is my card box so far. Its not done yet. I want to add some more to it. I tried puting a white ribbon around it but I didn't like the way that looked. I thought about puting black polka dots on the pink part. Or getting those little diamonds and glueing those on there. Any ides. I don't want any huge bows or a monogram or anything like that. I thought about just making a small white bow (like the one on my garter) with a rhinestone buckle and attach one to each black top. But I'm happy with how its turned out so far. and I figure I have 10 months to make it however I want! haha

I won't be able to get on here tomorrow so I thought I would just post that tomorrow is officially the 10 month mark! Only 10 more months and its official!!!!!!!!!! yay! Oh, and in 5 days we'll be at 299 days! We'll be in the 200! oh thats exciting

Ok, I'm a dork, I know! Just super excited for it to FINALLY be here!!!!!!

Well everyone else was doing it! haha

So I've become addicted to picking up little things here and there to fill my bridesmaids bags with! Today I went to Target and got these CUTE makeup bags for A DOLLAR!!!!!!!!!!!! And the compact mirrors for a dollar too! I picked up a few other things like Q-tips and some kid lip gloss for the flower girl all for a dollar too. I love travel size things! hehe! They also had travel sized makeup remover! I thought about getting some for me! haha I didn't get it tho. I'm not sure how long stuff like thats good for. I've tried to stay away from things that might go bad in the next 10 months so I'm not wasting money.

So I have become closer and closer to my boss. I say she's my boss because thats her title but we don't act like it. I think we have the type of relationship a boss should have. If I do something wrong or need to change something she can tell me without offending me. But outside of work we've become close friends too. If we're having problems with the significant others we always know we can call the other. We work out together 2 or 3 times a week and try to keep each other motivated to work out and eat healthy.

I know she's going to make an awesome bridesmaid because she's here (in Missouri, my other bridesmaids live in other states) and is HONEST! I need a girl who's going to say "oh, no! I am NOT letting you wear that on your wedding day" instead of "oh ya, that looks great" and letting me look like a fool! haha

Our wedding party just got bumped to 15! OMG! 5 bridesmaids, 5 groomsmen, 1 junior bridesmaid, flower girl, ring bearer and 2 ushers.

Ok, so as you can see from looking back at previous posts our centerpieces are large martini glasses with black black marbles and a pink daisy floating on top. Originally for wedding favors we were going to get small martini glasses and fill them with those M&Ms with your names on them. Well then we started thinking a little more realisticly and decided that the M&M's are a little expensive. So I came up with the idea of making Bride and Groom cookies. I thought they'd be cute and something we could all do together!! Even the FH! haha. But then I came across these cute pea pod key chains! And I just can't get over them! I think I'm into them so much because my last name is Pease! (Pronounced just like the veggie) My sister found them on ebay and after shipping and handling and tax they came out to about $1.08 a piece. But we would only be giving them to those 10 or 11 and over. Anyone under that is going to get the wedding coloring books that we're making up. What do you think? Johns a little ify about them but I think its because he can't really see the guys walking around with a pea pod on their key chain. Which I can't really either! haha!

What if I made little kits for each family? A coloring book and crayons for the kids, key chains for the ladies and...something for the guys? It would be a lot of work puting together so many little kits but what do you think?? Or maybe just the coloring book and crayons, keychain and a cookie? I wouldn't have to make so many cookies and listen to my sister complain about making 200 cookies anymore! haha!

I found the first one OriandJon's site. I thought it was really cute. I think this is almost what ours will end up looking like because we were told it would be easier to go with a square cake rather then a round one. The second one is the one we are going do go with but it will have a black ribbon around it like the first one.

So, I think my sister has finally gotten them all put together. I think they turned out super cute. We of course haven't printed them out or anything yet. When we do we're going to add magnets to the back of them so people can hang them where they won't forget! Originally they letters were pink and black but you couldn't see the black letters because of Johns shirt. But I think they look pretty good in all pink too! Let me know what you think!

I love gerber daisies and have always wanted those for my wedding flowers! But now I think I've come to terms with this bouquet with a mix of roses too. I'm really digging the mix of flowers. And my mom said she could make it! YAY! My FH wanted roses in the first place and I said no we're going with daisies but now I think we've come to a compromise. Plus I think this is going to tie everything together!! The guys will have rose boutiniers, there will be daisies on the cake, and those little star shaped flowers will be in my hair! yay!! So excited.

I'm horrible with making decisions but when I see something thats perfect thats it! I think thats why I'm so happy we planned our wedding a year and a half away, so I could change my mind 100 times before I found the perfect EVERYTHING! haha

So this might be a little ridiculous but I got bored! So my mom was saying yesterday she couldn't wait until I came home so we could work on the table arrangments. So we were talking about the color of the table cloth and the arrangments and I got creative and made up a mock of what I want it to look like. The long table is obviously the head table. And its just a few of the many tables we're going to have. They will have a white table cloth with a black runner and then a smaller pink runner down the middle of that one. Just thought it was cute/funny! Each table will have the martini centerpiece but with pink and black tulle around the bottom of them. No glass or candles. But they will still have the black marbles and daisy floating in it. Tell me what you think!

My mom and I were talking about different ways to remember loved ones that have passed on my wedding day. My idea was to do the candle in the vase with the engraving on the vase. My mom came across this other idea......

Wedding photo charms hung on the bride’s bouquet! Each charm can have a picture of a deceased loved one. It’s an elegant touch and only those who were close to the deceased loved ones will know the significance. You can find photo charms at Etsy or PhotoJewelryMaking.

Just make sure that you get a few pictures of the bouquet and remove the photo charms before tossing the bouquet! Perhaps, if you’re keeping your bridal bouquet, you can place the wedding charms back on the bouquet after the toss and dry the bouquet for a keepsake. If you’re not keeping the bouquet, perhaps you could use the Charms as ornaments on the Christmas tree as a yearly memorial.

I think the charms are great because people will know you are thinking of those that have passed and you can keep them as a keepsake! I'm definatley going with this idea!

I found some cute totes on there to use for my girls for $6.20! A little DIY and I'll add they're initials on the totes too! They have things for crafts, flowers, wedding accessories. Everything really. I just found it. Thought I'd put it up for you ladies to check out and so I could remember it later! haha!

These are a few of the pics we took last weekend. We actually ended up not taking to many engagment photos cause my sister wants to come back and do them when the leaves are changing. I'm ok with that. Whe did the pics for the save the dates and I'm loving them!!! Can't wait to get them put together!! THey are going to get arranged vertically so they look like they were taken in a photobooth.The first pic and all the save the date ones are my favorite!

Thats about it right now. I made a new necklace over the weekend. Its not quite done yet. And I painted one of the boxes for my card box but the pink I have is too bright so I need to get another color. I'll post pics when I get them both done!

So...NWR but I got hit today on my way to work. grr...it wasn't bad. I'm ok. But still! He just dented and scratched my back drivers side fender. I freaked when he hit me! haha Can't wait to get it fixed!

This is not wedding related but we had a blast yesterday so I thought I'd post about it! We went to a concert called Pointfest. Its 29 bands for 29 bucks. Its all alternative which me and my sister were a little ify about going cause we're not into alternative to much. But we ended up having fun and I knew a lot more songs that were played then I thought! haha..I put the pics on here from yesterday. They're all of us but you can tell we were having fun. I'm not sure why some of them turned out funny because I put them on another site and they turned out fine but you get the picture! lol. And the one that you just see a bunch of dots in the crowd is all cell phones and lighters. The guy told the audience to get out whatever they had that would light up and light up the crowd to make the stars jealous! It was pretty awesome to see


P.S. We got T-shirts for Pointfest and I got a pink one and he got a black one...which also just happens to be our wedding colors..hehe

This was my THIRD attempt at a ring bearer pillow. I love it! You can't tell in the picture (i took the pic on my phone) but its got a black ribbon across it with a pink one in the middle of it and then the same color ribbons hanging from it to hold the rings.

We are doing our engagment photos next weekend and I'm so excited! We are trying to get together cute and creative ideas. My sis is taking them so it'll be fun. One idea we had was to do some fun ones with me wearing an Illinois shirt (Where I'm from) and him wearing a Missouri shirt (where he's from). Of course we're doing ones dressier too. We went shopping today and got some new clothes for that. I can't wait!! I'll put them up here as soon as I get them back!

I think my next DIY craft is going to be another necklace. I already made some for me and my bridesmaids but I found another one that I REALLY like. It would be just for me. The girls would keep the ones I already made. I think I might add one more strand to theirs tho.

I don't have internet at the house anymore so I try to get everything in at once when i do get the chance to get on here. I feel like I'm just going on and on! haha. I can look at the site on my phone I just can't update my blog. So I've been keeping up to date on everyone and its looks like everything is going great! Can't wait to get the REAL internet at the house so I can update more!

So my sister was going to make our invitations but now we're just not sure if thats going to save us any money at all. I found a few cute ones but had an idea of mixing ideas. I liked the square on with the ribbon because I like that our picture can go on it (but I know square invites are more expensive to mail). The one that has the "love is patient love is kind" actually goes with our cake because thats what is being written around the cake. The third one I just thought it was cute. It has our colors and our pic. The last one I just came across and love it. Might have to look more into that one! lol

My idea was to make a rectangle invite like the square one and incorporate the "love is kind..." quote on to it.

I went to the tux shop where we were going to get 50% off our invites but it was still going to cost us between $300-$400

This is a video my sister made with the pictures she took of us last year. Its funny cause in the beginning it says my sister and future brother (hint hint) which he hadn't asked me yet. She was just hoping. She's really into video making and is making another one for our wedding for us to show. She made one for a friend of hers wedding a couple weeks ago that turned out beautiful and made one for my grandpa for his birthday using pictures from when he was young to now. It made everyone cry! hehe Hope you enjoy it!!!

Ok, so i keep seeing everyones beautiful card boxes and I really want to get started on mine! I'm just short on ideas! This is the box I got from work thinking I would decorate over it. But I keep seeing everyone with stacked boxes. I think this box might be ok tho, right?

My idea was to get some pretty material, some ribbons, and some letters to decorate it with and cut a slit in the top of it for the cards to go in.

Anybody got any other ideas? Any ideas on how to decorate it? I still can't come up with a design I want. grr...
