Centerpieces!
I love them ostrich feather centerpieces!
I've ordered some ostrich feathers for my centerpieces... I'm pretty excited about that! I pick them up in Montreal in 2 weeks! I absolutely love them. I'm thinking of alternating the colors of the vases between white and pink... hopefully i can find some pink lights!
I was thinking of having a 2nd centerpiece - the pic with the apples. We were thinking of spray painting the apples black lol and having fuchsia flowers and black tall sticks at the top just like the pic. I think that would look fabulous. Although I dont know if that would mesh well with the ostrich centerpieces. What do y'all think? I also love the damask vase, i think it would look awesome if it had a light inside with fuchsia flowers. What do you think... should I alternate my centerpieces? Or should I go ostrich all the way? lol :P |

Any Cdn girls wanna order?
I REALLY want these gift bags!!!! I'm just wondering if any other bride from Canada wants to go halfers and order them from Bags & Bows Online.
They're $98.95 US for 250 bags... which is good. But convert that to Cdn dollars plus shipping/duties. I'm guessing it would cost anywhere from $80 CDN each for 125 bags each. Just a guess-timate! Let me know... we can exchange emails and work something out! OR does anyone out there have any leftovers they're willing to sell, let me knowwww... help a sista out haha! Thanks ladies :) |

Wedding Invitation
Possible invitations... which do you prefer?
I just bought these invitations at Michaels yesterday... I absolutely loved them. But now I'm having second thoughts on them already. I was planning on using fuchsia ribbon instead of the black included in the kits. What do you think, is it too much black? My main color is fuchsia with hints of damask.
I also found these other invitations which i like a bit better now. Its the 2nd picture attached... however, instead of green it would be fuchsia. I think that would be perfect. Except I have no idea where i'd find fuchsia pocket-folds with plain white paperstock. My friend can design the damask accents on the invites. Does anyone know where i can find these invitations? And last but not least.... which invitations do you think I should use? |

Inspiration Board
I finally created my inspiration board! :) I'm using fuchsia as my main color with damask accents. Like a few others, I thought I was being creative when I thought of using damask until i came online and discovered that many other brides have damask madness as well lol. I've always loved damask... my downstairs living room is damask, with damask carpet, damask acccent pillows and damask candle holders. Little did i know I'd be using that for my wedding one day!! :) I even have a damask gym top hehe! and chandelier pjs haha~ Overall, I want my wedding to have a glam feel to it. I can't wait to get started on everything... I've gotten alot of ideas from you wonderfully creative diy bride-to-bes!! :)

The Proposal
The proposal was simple and sweet! We recently just got engaged on Christmas day 2008. His family was over for xmas dinner and we just happen to be enjoying the festivities and watching his all-time favorite movie The Dark Knight haha! I wasnt really paying attention to the movie and he kept telling me to watch (because there was a proposal during the movie). After she accepted he came over to me, went down on his knee and asked me to be his wife. I was in shock because he had already spoiled me with so many gifts on xmas lol. He had our 10 month old daughter in his arms, went on one knee... I had no idea, i thought he was handing me our babygirl. Then he popped out the ring and asked the big question... of course I said YES immediately lol and we shared a huge hug with our daughter! :) Soooo sweet! We've chosen to get married this summer, yes this summer!! So I dont have a whole lot of time to plan... eeks! 7 months to go!!
