Wedding Flowers
bridesmaids flowers
So again, because I'm a "poor bride", I am looking to cut costs any which way. I'm having a florist do all the flowers for the church, the guys, the corsages and my bouquet. With the help of my cousin, we did these for the bridesmaids, and I could not be happier with them. I think they are beautiful!

Final Centerpieces
After a lot of thought, these are what I went with.
So I was juggling several different ideas for our centerpieces, and these are what I decided to go with because they are the most cost effective. I'm going to alternate table with tall ones and the short ones, and will have tealights around them all. The rose ball centerpieces I may put at the family tables, or head table, or some other random places.

Ask a Question
Slideshows...tacky or not?
My photographer told me that he would set up a projector screen at the reception and do a slideshow for us. He was going to have a storybook theme, and have pictures of my fiance and I from when we were babies, all the way to the current date. He can even do a live feed of the dance floor later in the night so that whoever is out there dancing will be shown on the screen. Part of me thinks this is cute and may be fun, but another part tells me it's tacky. What do you guys think?

Booked him!!
We finally booked our photographer and he gave us some great ideas. One thing he told us to do was to make a portfolio of pics we like to give to him for ideas for our big day. Just wanted to share some that I found so far!

"Centercakes??"
Anyone know anything about using small cakes as centerpieces?
So I saw the idea on here, of course, and I want to know more! For those of you using small wedding cakes as centerpieces, do you still get a traditional cake? Do your guests just serve themselves this cake after dinner? I'm so confused, but am absolutely loving this idea!! You girls know how much this costs? I'm going to have about 20 tables of 10. Also, does anyone know anything about cardboard cakes? I hear you can get a wedding cake that's actually decorated cardboard with just the top level an actual cake for the cake cutting. This has got to be a money saver, especially if you go with the cake centerpieces. Anyone with any answers or advice, please help! Thanks : )

Co-ed "bridal" showers?
My fiance really wants to have a co-ed shower. He thinks that it's unfair that all my friends have to buy us gifts while his do not. Also, this way the groomsmen can also pitch in for the cost of the shower. I don't think it's a bad idea at all, but I've always pictured a more traditional shower. He's talking about kegs of beer and horse shoes! Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to make it co-ed, but not "frat" like party? Or do you girls think traditional showers are the way to go? Thanks for you help!
