This is bridezillabrat's Green Wedding!

Had a quick go at making my little jar lanterns tonight. I want these scattered around the venue, on tables etc. I had to use whatever jars I could find, I like the one at the front but not the other two. I would also use bigger, longer burning candles.

What do you think?

Shabby chic or Shabby shit?

Vistaprint had some good offers on as usual, so I have a free T-shirt and Tote Bag on their way to me! So weet and cheeeeeesy!

Since I saw a button bouquet, I knew that is what I wanted. It took a while for my family to come round to the idea but my FMIL and Mum are now also helping get things for the bouquet so that I have a part of them in it too.
It will be made of lace, buttons, brooches and pearls in different whites, creams and ivory, with a hint of sparkle too.

Things I have collected so far; Lace (This is just a small amount that I have, will use it for other things too), buttons (Need LOADS more), brooch (added lace to hide most of gold bits), sparkly buttons (Love these!), pearly beads, floristry wire.

I have been collecting little bits and bobs ready to make my invitations. I will use Vistaprint for my Save The Dates and Thank you Cards but thought I'd make my invitations myself.

1. Laura Ashley prints - These will cut to fit in the centre of the front of my invites.

2. Wedding and evening stamps, for the ceremony and reception invitations. There will be a button on each invite too, will have to tweak and try different ways of incorporating them and making it all pretty!

Inkeeping with my old fashioned/vintage/shabby chic theme, my favours will be... Jam! (AKA Jelly in the US I think?)

I found my inspiriration on one of my MANY nights of googling, googling and yet more googling!

I will be forraging most of the fruit hopefully. I live in the countryside and the blackberry bushes are just starting to fruit which is perfect as I can forage around September next year in time for my November wedding.

I have found jars to buy in bulk - 100 x 210ml jars for £35 ($55) then I will get some labels or tags printed with either our monogram or "Spread the love" plus a little thank you for sharing our day etc.

I hope people will like them and I hope even more that the jam I make tastes nice! I'll be trying it out this year when the fruit is ripe up the lanes to see how well I do.. May need my Nan's help - She's brilliant at preserves.

Diamond solitaire, 18ct White Gold.

Chose it myself after FH proposed. I like them simple with nice claws without gaps on the band. I love it!

Yes, because I chose it myself after he propsed, it arrived 3 days later so we broke the news to everyone that we were getting married :D

We haven't chosen yet but I'm keen to have my Mother's Wedding ring melted down and made into my own.

I knew we'd get married one day but had no idea he'd do it that day - Don't really think he did either as there was no ring etc!

Nope, it's perfect!

I have no idea, we wont be saving for the honeymoon, hoping for money gifts towards it and will go once we can afford to.

Nicola - Maid of honour, my only sister.
Sophie - Best friend of approx 13 years.

I am letting them choose their own dress, all in the same colour (My choice) except for Keira who will wear the same colour as me, again I'll have her input as I value it and want her to be happy (And a princess!).

One large cupcake, lots of regular cupcakes, ivory frosting, fancy lace wrappers.

***Are you going to be neat or messy when feeding him the cake?***
Who knows?

We haven't found a reception venue yet - Proving difficult and stressful to find the perfect place!

I can picture it in my head.. I don't really like too much detaily bits but I like the ruffly look! Haven't tried ANY on yet.

I'm not having flowers, it will be made from buttons, vintage brooches, pearls and lace.

Soft curls, down with some up held in place with a vintage lacy flower.

My Mum AND Dad, they divorced a few years ago and have never been in the same room since, they literally hate each other and I just hope they put everything aside for me on my big day.

Medium I guess.

***What will the groom wear?***
Morning suit with ivory waistcoat, cravat (Maybe dusky pink).

I will be 25, He will be 30.

16 months.

We will have lived together exactly 2 years and one day when we marry :)

Well I have 15 months left and think I will need that long with all the DIY projects I have set myself!

***Will you do it yourself or with family or hire someone to plan the wedding?***
It's mostly me deciding and finding what I want, but when it comes to physically helping, with DIY bits etc, my Mum and FMIL have offered to help with the bouquet and my Sister will help alot too.

***Will you write your own vows or use something pre-made?***
We will write our own.

I have over 1500 books which are sat there doing nothing so I am going to give the 'book heart' decorations a go. Hopefully will give it a vintage theme rather than making me look like a complete scrooge on decorations, cos this isn't the case, I really like the look of the hearts. If I can find some romance books amongst my library, I will use them.

We booked it a couple of weeks ago, I got the castle I wanted!
It's now going to be a November wedding, so pretty cold I guess, may have to add a bit of faux fur to the mix to keep me and my girlies warm!

The castle is perfect and is gonna look amazing on the photographs!

We are not having the traditional wedding breakfast after the ceremony, but just an old-fashioned afternoon tea with champagne, sandwiches and cake etc.

My Fiance has pretty much let me choose everything, I have asked his opinion on most things and he will tell me what he thinks, but I can over-rule as he has zero taste. When asking what colours he would like to wear, he replied "Blue and Amber" - (His football team, Shrewsbury Town colours) so I have since ignored his choices, as they will always be to do with football.

We have very different music tastes but have agreed on "God only knows" by The Beach Boys as our first dance song. I think for the rest of the night, we will have to make a playlist and alternate between songs we both like, plus allow guests to choose songs too.
