It's a boy

Hi WBC bloggers! Baby Alexandre arrived today at 10:56 am weighing in at exactly 7 pounds. My estimated due date was set for the 9th (this Sunday) but Alexandre came 6 days early!!

I was in labour for almost a full day and my husband was so supportive throughout the whole labour and delivery. He was very encouraging and affectionate. We moved last month due to new jobs out of the province. We've both had to postpone our respective returns to our jobs with this semi-early delivery.

Baby Alex has blond hair and blue eyes but we both predicted that his hair would turn out light brown like his father's and mine when he grows up. Thank God we've had his room fully prepared since November, hahaha. I didn't think I'd ever feel fully ready for his arrival and we were definitely expecting Alex to come right on time.

I'm still in high spirits due to the holidays and I am so happy to be starting off the new year with a new baby boy. I already love him so much and he has changed my life in a matter of hours. I know my husband and I are going to be great parents.

I am so lucky to have an amazing husband and a beautiful baby boy in my life. Our parents will be visiting this Saturday and I'll post up pictures soon.
