This is brittanny's Blue Wedding!

So Friday, for the rehearsal we got stuck in the gazebo in a ridiculous thunderstorm. We had to make a run for it to get inside and it was miserable weather, oh well just the rehearsal. Getting my nails done friday, one of bridesmaids calls and tells me that her grandma passed away, felt awful for her, but she said she was going to be there for the wedding just not the rehearsal. More condo trouble friday which added to the stress...all in all friday=not good. Saturday, sun shining, all of my bridesmaids looked beautiful and we had the best day/night ever. Everybody had a blast, the dance floor was rockin all night. We have hundreds of pictures (don't even have the photographers pics yet). It was really the best day of my life. Now we are off to Cuba in the morning, and when we get back, moving into a brand new condo (problems all got settled), and I'm starting law school. What a wonderful time!

Ok so this isn't exactly wedding related, but it sure doesn't help 2 days before the wedding.

We finally found a gorgeous condo we loved in our price range, the bank originally told us no problem we could get 100% financing if we pay off two of my FH old debts. So we did (7000$ worth) and we were ready to put a bid on the condo today. Then the bank tells us that because of what's happening in the market in the US, they are no longer offering 100% financing for anyone. So unless we can put a downpayment (which would be another 10 000$ plus closing costs) then we can't do anything. So now we are going to be stuck renting (paying someone else's mortgage) forever. What a crappy day!

Hi everyone, I figured since I had a minute I would post a little something. We are just doing all the last minute stuff (putting the programs together, putting the favours together, and place cards). I'm so excited (although they are calling for rain here on my day and the ceremony is supposed to be outside ugh) ...my fingers are crossed. If I don't get a chance to post again before saturday I will post once we get back from Cuba. Good luck to all brides this weekend!!!

Hey girls! So yesterday I had my final fitting, basically to show my mom how to do my bustle because this is apparently a complicated process lol. So the picture is with bustle all done up so you can't see my train. And also a picture with my seamstress. It's coming up quick, can't wait!

So I just had my 25th birthday on July 1st. My FH came out of the bedroom and said "ok I have a gift for you, but it's kind of a wedding present too" I wanted to wait until the day of the wedding to open it but he insisted I open then. He bought me a beautiful matching necklace and bracelet to wear for the wedding. They are perfect! He picked them out all by himself and they are going to look great with my beautiful dress. I will post pictures once I take some.

oh and 15 MORE DAYS!!! I'm SO excited!

Hello all... So I went for my hair trial today and I love it so much, we didn't even need to use my hair extensions which is great. The one picture caught me off guard so ignore the face lol but the hair is exactly what I wanted, not too fancy but I love it!

Just went to get our marriage license today. We are only 32 days away and we can't wait. I'm more and more excited everyday to marry the man that I love!

So this past weekend was my bachelorette party. I had the best time ever. We all had an amazing night. We went to Niagara falls got a great hotel room, got all dolled up, had an amazing dinner and went to a great club. The night was filled with some hilarious moments and I thank all of my bridesmaids and the other girls who attended for everything! Hope everyone else has as much fun as I did with their bachelorette!

Jeff is a good friend of ours from high school and we really wanted him to be a part of our wedding. He is a GREAT speaker and always has great things to say, hence him being the MC for the wedding. We both love him to death, and we are sure he'll be amazing for us at the wedding.

For my FI, this decision was pretty easy. 3/5 of these boys he has been friends with since they were little kids, maybe even before elementary school. The Best man is one of those, his name is Rej, actually Rej and Steph (my MOH) have been dating for even longer than my FI and I. He is a great friend to the both of us, and we are honored to have him in our life. Stephan is another friend that my FI has had since they were little, very organized and driven. Dan, again a friend since my FI was little. Andre, came to us in high school and became a great friend to the both of us, my FI was in his wedding party last summer (that's where my profile pic is from). The 5th boy in the wedding party is a friend that my FI met in college, and we love him to death. All of these guys are big part of our lives and I'm happy to have them as a part of the wedding. So this was originally an easy decision, then hard, then easy again. The reason for this is because we started with 3 in the wedding party, then decided to go a little bigger, so difficult to stop (since my FI has 3 younger sisters) and now I'm very happy with my decision. My MOH is one of my best friends since high school (since my FI and I started dating). Her name is Steph, she is so organized, willing to help and I am so grateful for her! Then there is another best friend Annick. We have been friends since the first day of grade 9, she got married last summer and has a little boy...I love her to death. Julie and Ashley are the two people that help get me through life at work. We are all competitive dance teachers, and without them, the stress of work and school would really get to me. Sarah is one of my FI's sisters, she is the eldest of the three sisters and closest to us in age. I get along very well with all of his sisters, but we are definitely the closest, and now she is living with us for a while. I LOVE having sisters now! All in all I'm so happy to have these girls by my side when I get married.

My 'Cake lady' and I sat down and incorporated all of the aspects of different cakes that I really loved to create a beautiful design that I'm sure will be very YUMMY! These are just some of the pictures I used for some inspiration for the cake. There will be a thin ribbon around each layer in the same teal colour as my bridesmaids' dresses. The cake is much taller than these because 2 layers are attached and then there are 'posts' leading to the next tier and again to the top tier. The largest layer is marble cake, the next is vanilla (as far as I can remember) the next is carrot cake (to be saved for the brunch the next day) and the top tier is chocolate (I think....this was so long ago). Can't wait to see the finished product!

So these pictures are simply the "idea" of the bouquets for the wedding. Mine is a shower/cascade bouquet, with more cala lillies than you see in the picture and some other stuff (more bear grass to add some greenery). The bridesmaids will be simple White vendella roses with some 'greenery' in there. My groom's bouteniere is a cala lilly and the other guys have the white rose to match the girls. Hopefully everything turns out the way I see it!

So we decided for the favours there would be 2 things. First when the guests enter the reception hall, there will be a table filled with all 150 vases (they are little mini vases, with just enough room for a nice small flower; we are cutting the stems and doing this the day of). The vases have a little lip at the bottom to hold the place card for name and table number for all of the guests. The guests will then take the vase to their table (and the vase is theirs to keep along with the flower)...this is how it also serves as a small decoration at each table. The 2nd part of the favours are small sheer silver bags (our colours are teal and silver with light ivory accents). The silver bags are going to be filled with white heart chocolates and custom printed M&Ms that we ordered (teal/aqua and white; with our names and the date of the wedding on them). Hopefully everyone will enjoy them!

So I just recently changed my appointments from one salon to another...I was worried about the reliability of the girl at the first one. I'm much happier knowing that I will be with a place that I trust. I am going for my hair trial in about 2 weeks and I'm just not 100% sure about everything. I have a veil and a tiara so i have to keep that in mind, and my hair is pretty long. I'm used to doing my own hair and make up so this is going to be quite a change for me. Oh and my bridesmaids are all having updos.

So these took forever to decide on. We found this one dress we liked, but thought we should keep looking just in case. We must have looked at 1000 dresses, and guess what we ended up with...the same dress we liked from the first day of looking. So here it is. The colour is teal, with an ivory sash, it is so flattering on everyone. The bridesmaids are going to look amazing.

I never thought I would find THE dress in one day, but at the 3rd bridal shoppe (which we weren't even going to go to) my MOH pulled out a dress to put in the changeroom. It was amazing, I couldn't even put on another dress all the way without saying 'nope not even close'. I love it! It's actually a different colour than the picture, a little more white (not WHITE though) it's ivory.
