100 Days...
AND counting!
Seriously feels like it was just the 300 day mark. I cant believe it. Double digits here I come...

I have seen a few other posts about not really feeling like doing anything wedding. Well I am there!!!! We are in the middle of a move 2 hours away, just finished finals, applying to go back to school (masters or after degree) and have to get a new job, all the while my FH is working out of town and I have not seen him in over 30 days boohoo. Wedding is one of the last things on my mind and when it is I feel really really overwhelmed...I dont ever feel happy with what I have decided. I know that it is only one day and blah blah blah but I really want everyone to enjoy!

Anyway I am sure ill get over it after the move and everything is over. I ordered the chair covers and picked out the mens tuxes, I am getting an RSVP back about every 2 days...SO EXCITING...and I got my stuff for the kids table (crayons, coloring books, glow sticks, connect 4 game, puzzle, little farm animals, stickers) and my bathroom baskets for the women bathroom (deoderant, mouth wash, floss, shoe shine, static guard, tide to go, kleenex, wet ones, tampons, brush, bobby pins, elastics, lotion, body spray, cotton swabs, q-tips, mascara, etc...).
I think that I am pretty caught up, I have alot of DIY projects to do but when we get to the new house I will be able to do some of those things while I have no job.

I also picked up my wedding dress TODAY! I love it, and it fits!!! woohooo. When I went for the fianl fitting about a month ago I had a bit of back cleavage but that is totally gone now. I am also going to Victoria to see my mom and meet my vendors and see my ceremony/reception site for the first time on monday. I am so excited!

Hows everyone else doing????

So frustrated!
2 groomsmen droped out
So it is just over 3 months till the wedding and we have been engaged for 10 months, and just now 2 of the groomsmen told FH that they could not afford to go and therefore cannot be in the wedding. I understand that times are tough in this economy but you guys have known about this for 10 MONTHS, as if you couldn't put away $50/ month for the past year, and if you couldn't you should have figured this out a little before. It isn't even that bad, I found this amazing seat sale to victoria and we were willing to pay for thier plane ticket just to get them there. they said they couldn't do that. I am just frustrated I suppose. I feel really bad for FH, alot of his family that we thought forsure were going to come are not. He is just upset, which makes me upset. On top of everything wedding, I just finished exams for my last year of University, and we are moving to a town 2 hours away, and FH has been working out of town. So maybe I am overreacting a touch but THIS SUCKS!!

Ahhh....vent over!

We are going to do quilting squares instead of the regular old guest book. I make up this corny little poem to attach to each little square.

That gets buried away somewhere

We went to Michaels and bought our invites!

They turned out so great. We spent two days over Easter weekend working on them, and I couldn't have been happier with how they turned out. They are the ones on the pictures but instead of a white ribbon we used a purple ribbon to add some of our accent color in. They came in a pack of 40 and we only needed 42 so I just made up two mock invites with some extra cardstock we bought. Most of them have made it to thier destination already. Can't wait to get response cards back :)

Ps- best part was they only cost us under $80 for EVERYTHING, including postage!!!

DIY Wedding
Centerpieces
We went and bought our vases for our centerpieces. I am still so wishy washy on what I want to do. But I just had to commit and stick with it. We got short square vases and 2 for each table. We are going to cut lemons and put them in the bottom and then just go to the local market the day before and find some fresh yellow and purple flowers for them.

I am also going to find some nice picture frames and use our engagement pics and photoshop a table number in them, and use that as out table numbers. I figure other than FB (which most of our older family doesnt have) people wont ever see our e-photos.

My dress is done...done done!!

I know what you are thinking...you still have 4 months till the wedding. I know. However, I am going out to Victoria in 3 weeks and I really want to take my dress with me and leave it at my parents house. One so it is there safe and sound, and two so Mr. snoopy pants doesn't decide to be snoopy when I am at work one day. I am a pretty tiny person as is and I dont fluctuate much with my weight so I know that it will be ok not trying it on again till 3 days before the wedding.

I also got SHOESSSSS!!! and I love them. I really wanted to wear the same shoes as my girls, but we were having a really hard time trying to match the color of the dresses to ANYTHING really. So shoes were a big stress. Initially we were just going to get them dyed, but they dont guarentee the color and they would be about $110 when all was said and done. I know that is not all the much for shoes, and all the girls said they would pay whatever they needed to, but asking them to travel and buy their dresses and ect... ect... you all know how quickly things add up! Anyway... so I am just out running erands the other day and I was a bit early for an appt I had, so I just went into this little boutique that I had never been into. They had a bright yellow dress on the display with these cute little pearl colored shoes. and they acually looked awesome. So I went home (after all my erands) grabbed one of the bridesmaid dresses went back and tried on a shoe. They were great...not amazing...but great. So I asked how many pairs she had left...only 5...and I needed 6. We started going through all the shoes and the 5 remaining pairs were EXACTLY the sizes I needed for all my girls and me (excluding one). So I took it as a sign bought them all and deceided we will just figure something out for the last pair. BEST PART of whole story...she gave me 50% off for buying all of them and they were on $30/pair!!!

(PLEASE dont look at my hair, I just got up, and DONT mind the back bum!!!! ewwww...I am starting running as soon as school is done. I figure only about 2 pounds to lose)

Wedding Favors
Ordered!!!
I decided a long long time ago that I wanted to get travel tags as our wedding favors. Because ALL of our guests (except 2) are comming from out of town, I thought it would be a useful gift. However, I wanted to get yellow ones and I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for them.

End result, is I ordered them, they are not yellow, but I didn't pay an arm or a leg for them. I still am happy with them. They are like the ones in the picture only they have an airplane on them instead of a shell.

I am going to print off everyones name and addy and fill them out for each person, and then use that as my table setting so each person knows where their seat is. Killing two birds with one stone...I know I am a genius!!!

We got our Wedding Bands!!
Alright so I know that I have not been the best blogger ever (there has been nothing to blog about), but I have returned!!!
With only 4 months (and 2 days) to go I figure that things need to GET DONE, and I need to get my butt in gear or this wedding wont happen.

So first we got our wedding bands YAY!!!

We go to the local farmers market ever saturday that is held in our mall, well 2 saturdays ago we decided to just go look in the jewelery stores that are in the mall. We walked into the second one (one of two lol) and both picked out what we wanted, bought it, and three days later we got the call to come and pick them up!!!

I have to get my e-ring re-dipped cause it is a little worn out and is not the same color or brightness as the new band. Does anyone know how much that will cost???
