Monogram
DIY

Okay, so this was my first attempt at a monogram (with a little help from a girl I work with, thanks, Christine!) Our colors are red and black and we're using damask decor. I like this one, other than needing to adjust the size of the names, but I also asked my friend (my boss) to help me out when he has a chance... he's a web designer, with exquisite taste I might add, lol. So, we'll have to see what he comes up with.

Any thoughts on this one though? Like I said, i'm a first timer at this, so any advice would be helpful!! Thanks girls!

UPDATE 3/11/09: Made the names bigger... still going to wait to see what my boss comes up with

well, this is actually the one i did... i'm hoping the one my boss does, if he ever gets time, will be better.

i google'd "damask" and went to the images section... found a pattern i liked, viewed the full size image, and saved it.

then i went to microsoft publisher and played with the different fonts until i found something i liked and wrote out our names and stuff. (put each piece in its own text box so you can move then around indivually until you get them positioned) once i had the names and letter where i wanted it i combined the text boxes into one to adjust the size of the overall image in unison, then saved it as a jpeg image.

i went to paint and opened the damask image, cropped out the center and then inserted the monogram.

hope this helps!
