Do I have the Right to be Mad? I think I had a Bridezilla Moment!
Hello Ladies, I think I have officially had my BIGGEST Bridezilla moment....in a nice way of course but deep down inside I was very upset. Ok, onto how this became about... I was searching FB and came across a wedding blog that I admire A LOT!! I noticed the peacock design my sister drew for me on a design(monogram)....At that moment I was like WTF(excuse my language)..I was in total shock! My second thought was how was the person able to get the design since only less than a handful of people have the design. I have not shared it with anyone with exceptions of certain wedding related services... I contacted the blog that I admire and we discussed the situation and somehow the bride she is working with LIED about how she got it...(my assumption) I have had many emails about the image and I was def gonna share the image after my wedding BUT not until then!! My sister drew it specifically for me and I def mentioned that on my blog and to my wedding contacts. The image was NOT to be used by anyone or COPY RIGHTED!! My sister is a artist by trade it is what she does for a living!! Honestly, after I contacted the blog I admire I felt really bad and expressed my apologize because she was just providing a service for another bride....My issue is with the bride(I totally wish I could get in contact with her!!) But then when I think about it....NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO TAKE SOMETHING THAT IS NOT THEIRS...plain in simple!! If you like something ASK!! Its only right!! Especially that my sister worked hard to capture my vision!! I contacted my sister and she is on top of things about this..I hope she can resolve this because it is her work!! I def feel some type of way about this!! Am I over reacting??? PS My advice to other brides if you don't want this to happen to you...DON'T SHARE YOUR IMAGINE AT ALL PUBLICLY!! Wait until after you printed your design on your invites!! From what my sister stated is that anyone could manipulate a photo design.... PSS I have taken down all of my post related to my peacock design(monograms, design and etc) ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ![]() |

Wedding Flowers
My Peacock Centerpiece :)
Hello Ladies, I have been in the best mood today and what made it even BETTER was my visit to my florist!! The moment I walked into to her office and turned my face to look towards her, there was my centerpiece...it was GORGEOUS!!!!! I was like a little kid!! Smiling from ear to ear, expressing my happiness!! I can not wait for our big day!! The room is gonna look sooo BEAUTIFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!! I can hardly contain myself, lol!! We are actually going to have more roses added and less of the raspberry carnations. Either way I love the way they came out, My camera didn't do the flowers justice, the room is a little dim. And on the peacock feathers I will be adding rhinestones to the center of them just like the peacock favors I had. Centerpieces: ![]() ![]() Table Set-up: ![]() Inside Venue: ![]() My flowers around the cake with have a mixture of roses and carnations with some peacock feathers as well. I have decided to go with a white cake instead of a turquoise cake. ![]() ![]() Our sweet heart table will have 3 sets of flowers sitting like the pic below with bling hanging. I decided not to have the bridemaids wear the peacock comb I bought for them and decided to add them to the flowers on our table(sitting in the middle of them) , I am so happy I made this choice, I know its gonna look so beautiful! My florist is loving all the little details I have :) ![]() ![]() I really can not wait!! I am starting to get beyond excited that everything is coming together nicely!! ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ![]() |

I Got My Shoes
Wooohoo!!
Hello Ladies, I am so happy to share I finally bought my shoes. I have been eying them since the beginning of our planning. And now I can finally say I have them. They are so comfortable. I even got an extra 20% off because they were the last pair. I can not wait to wear them on our wedding day. They are 4' heels with a slight larger heel. I can't walk in heel at all but I can walk and dance in these beauties. I also like that they are platforms. ![]() ![]() ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ![]() |

Ask a Question
What are you using for Your Something Old, New, Borrowed & Blue?
Hello Ladies, I am having such a hard time with this. I thought it would be easy but I am needing some help on ideas. I was search Google and came across The Knot list of the list. Here is what they posted. You've witnessed countless brides interpret these words in the same old conventional fashion (the handkerchief is old, the dress is new, the earrings are borrowed and the garter is blue). But this is your wedding, and you've never been one to follow the crowd. Take heart. Here are some ideas to make your wedding unique and memorable. Something Old~ If you are pressed for time, you can always throw on a pair of old stockings to take care of this part of the rhyme... but you don't want to do that. You may be lucky enough to wear your mother's wedding gown, but if not, the following suggestions are as apropos as they are old. A vintage engagement ring or wedding band The veil your grandmother wore in her wedding Antique or heirloom earrings or bracelet A tiny vintage purse Vintage buttons on your wedding dress Your favorite lipstick Your signature perfume Antique lace tied around your bouquet Something New~ This is where it can get really fun; after all, who could deny you a perfectly sensible excuse to go shopping? Think of the possibilities Your wedding gown A veil that makes the dress Luxurious lingerie A brand new lipstick or eyeshadow Jewelry: a sparkling bracelet, earrings or a classic pearl necklace (if not a gift from your groom, then one to yourself -- you deserve it) The perfect shoes Elegant silk gloves A glittering tiara (what better time to be princess for a day) A silk or cashmere shawl (for a fall or winter wedding) Just because it's new doesn't mean you have to purchase it. A brand new penny for your shoe Freshly picked garden flowers for your bouquet Something Borrowed~ Your friends and family will be thrilled to help you with this item; however, it may be a bit tricky deciding what to borrow from whom. One of the most traditional choices is also one of the loveliest -- borrowing a gown from your mother or grandmother. If that is not an option, read on. Mom's pearl necklace The earrings your grandmother wore at her wedding The adorable little bag your best friend carried at hers Your aunt's veil or headpiece Your sister's wedding shoes Your parents' (or a friend's) home for the wedding or reception An elegant wrap from your future mother-in-law Your grandfather's Bible or book of poetry Money from your parents or his (for the wedding or honeymoon) Something Blue~ We aren't sure who launched the blue garter craze, but we do know it's still alive in the 21st century. While a lacy blue garter is a viable option, the following are a few fresh alternatives. Blue flowers in your bouquet, such as hydrangeas Lingerie with touches of blue Ice blue toenail polish A dramatic blue-red lipstick Tiny blue details, such as flowers, scattered on a long veil A delicate pale blue barrette A beautiful blue Austrian crystal A blues band at your reception A silk, midnight blue wedding gown (who says it has to be white?) I'm not sure between the Something Old & Something Borrowed?? Any Suggestions? Maybe the perfume for the something Old?
